Following a monumental race win at the prestigious Rolex 24 At Daytona, this weekend Wright Motorsports heads into the next round of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship: the Twelve Hours of Sebring. The Porsche customer racing team leads the GTD class points in both the team and driver standings after securing the biggest win in the team’s history to date. The Rolex 24-winning drivers Ryan Hardwick, Jan Heylen, and Zacharie Robichon will pilot the No. 16 Porsche. The John Wright-owned operation is determined to maintain the team’s 2022 success, as well as continue the two-year podium streak the team holds at Sebring International Raceway.

United Autosports are preparing for the 70th annual 12 Hours of Sebring this weekend, the second round of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.

Porsche customer teams head to the 12 Hours of Sebring as the leaders of the GTD-Pro and GTD classes. Four Porsche 911 GT3 R racing cars will tackle round two of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. Pfaff Motorsports and WeatherTech Racing will contest the GTD-Pro category. Wright Motorsports and the Hardpoint squad have entered their 500+PS nine-elevens in the GTD class. The 70th running of the endurance classic in the US state of Florida counts towards the IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup, which also includes the races at Daytona, Watkins Glen and Road Atlanta.

Team Cetilar Racing is set for its first appearance at the Twelve Hours of Sebring as the 3.74-mile track in Florida hosts this coming weekend (18/19 March) the second out of four IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup rounds.

In 2019, Whelen Engineering/Action Express Racing won the 12 Hours of Sebring. Coming off the team’s Championship season from a year ago, drivers Pipo Derani (Brazil), Tristan Nunez (Boynton Beach, Fla.) and Mike Conway (Great Britain) look to return to the winner’s circle in this year’s IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Twelve Hours of Sebring March 16-19 at Sebring International Raceway.

No less than six Aston Martin Vantage GT race cars will contest two of the biggest endurance races on the international motorsport calendar this weekend as the world-famous Sebring International Raceway plays host to the opening round of the FIA World Endurance Championship – the 1000 Miles of Sebring – on Friday, followed by the IMSA WeatherTech Sports Car Championship blue riband race – the Sebring 12 Hours – the next day.

Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG is paying its respects to one of the most successful and versatile works racing drivers ever to represent the Stuttgart-based sports car manufacturer: Victor Henry Elford passed away on 13 March 2022 at the age of 86 at his home in Florida. The intelligent Englishman dominated rally and circuit racing around the world for years, particularly in the late 1960s. “The news of his death represents a very sad loss for us. Our thoughts are with his family,” says Michael Steiner, Member of the Executive Board, Research and Development. “We thank Vic Elford for his passion and extraordinary dedication. He was one of the most multi-talented and successful racing drivers to have competed for and with Porsche.”

After showcasing its IMSA WeatherTech and INDYCAR SERIES programs in a pair of classic Florida races to open 2022 competition, Meyer Shank Racing (MSR) is set for its first dual-action weekend of the year with trips to Sebring International Raceway and Texas Motor Speedway.

Porsche Carrera Cup North America Presented by the Cayman Islands brings 43 identical Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars to its season-opening rounds this week at Sebring International Raceway. In only its second season, the premier one-make series will set a world standard for entries for a single region on the Porsche Motorsport Pyramid with Rounds 1 and 2 of the 16 race schedule. In a near-even distribution of entries across the three classes – Pro, Pro-Am and Am – the full field will be comprised of the newest Porsche 911 GT3 Cup race car, the type 992, at the Sebring, Florida event, March 16 – 17.

Porsche heads into the 2022 FIA World Endurance Championship WEC again with two 911 RSR. The new season kicks off this coming weekend with two official test days at the Sebring International Raceway in the US state of Florida. Just six days after the so-called Prologue, the same venue will host the first race of the year. For the second time in the history of the World Endurance Championship, the race on the six-kilometre circuit marks the start of the season. At the last WEC race on this legendary US circuit, Porsche won the fiercely contested GTE-Pro class. In the GTE-Am category, two customer squads campaign four more of the ca. 378 kW (515 PS) nine-elevens from Weissach. The Porsche partner team Penske contests the LMP2 class with an Oreca-Gibson.

Schubert Motorsport is going on the offensive in season ten of the ADAC GT Masters. The team from Oschersleben will field two new BMW M4 GT3 and is counting on a mixture of experience and youthful zest in its driver line-up. BMW works drivers Jesse Krohn (31/FIN) and Nicky Catsburg (34/NL) share one cockpit, while two highly-talented young drivers – Niklas Krütten (19/Trier) and Ben Green (24/UK) – will be at the wheel of the second BMW. The ADAC GT Masters kicks off the new season from 22nd to 24th April at Motorsport Arena Oschersleben.

After making its motorsport debut in both European and British competition in 2021, Toro Verde GT is delighted to announce that it will join the Porsche Carrera Cup GB grid this season, with a four-car entry into the United Kingdom’s fastest one-make series.

Successful GT racer Jordan Witt is making a very welcome return to the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS Endurance Cup this season, after today confirming an exciting deal with Leipert Motorsport – reuniting the Nantwich driver with Lamborghini Huracan GT3 power for 2022.

Wright Motorsports, the longtime Porsche customer racing team, will return for another season in the Porsche Carrera Cup North America Presented by the Cayman Islands. The veteran Porsche one-make race series participant will be entering a three-car effort with drivers Varun Choksey, John Goetz, and Hutton McKenna. Strong statement of intent from Rutronik Racing. The team from Baden-Württemberg has announced Luca Engstler (22/Wiggensbach) and Patric Niederhauser (30/CH), who returns to the fold, as the driver pairing for the first of two new Audi R8 LMS Evo II, which the team will run in the 2022 ADAC GT Masters. Niederhauser won the German GT Championship with Rutronik Racing in 2019, while Engstler is the reigning ADAC TCR Germany champion. This top-quality duo will share the driving duties in the number 15 car. The new ADAC GT Masters season kicks off from 22nd to 24th April at Motorsport Arena Oschersleben.
