The No. 25 BMW M Team RLL BMW M4 GT3, driven by Connor De Phillippi, John Edwards, and Augusto Farfus, seemingly won today’s Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen, the fifth round of the 2022 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. After an audit of drive time, it was found that the third driver, John Edwards, did not meet the (adjusted) one-hour-and-17-minute minimum and the car was moved to the rear of the field.

Aston Martin’s Vantage GT3 recorded a famous double-class victory in the Sahlen’s Six Hours of the Glen at Watkins Glen, on Sunday, in what was a day of firsts for Aston Martin and its IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship partner team The Heart of Racing (THoR).

The GT4 European Series heads back to Italy this weekend as the championship battle reaches its halfway stage at the seaside circuit of Misano.

WeatherTech Racing drivers Cooper MacNeil (Hinsdale, Ill), Maro Engel (Germany), and Mikael Grenier (Canada) finished fifth in today’s running of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen at Watkins Glen International.

Meyer Shank Racing (MSR) was having a near perfect weekend but came up a mere 0.861-seconds short to finish second in Sunday’s Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen. 

Ally Cadillac drivers Jimmie Johnson (El Cajon, Calif.), Kamui Kobayashi (Japan) and Mike Rockenfeller (Germany) finished sixth in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen at Watkins Glen International.

Whelen Engineering drivers Pipo Derani (Brazil), Olivier Pla (France) and Mike Conway (Great Britain) finished fifth in Sunday’s IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen at Watkins Glen International.

Perfect weekend for Emil Frey Racing in Zandvoort. On Saturday, the team followed pole position with its maiden success in the German GT Championship, courtesy of Mick Wishofer (22/A) and Konsta Lappalainen (20/FIN). Jack Aitken (26/GB) and Albert Costa Balboa (31/E) then repeated that success on Sunday. The fastest duo in qualifying controlled the race at the dune circuit in the #63 Lamborghini Huracán GT3 Evo, and ultimately took a comfortable lights-to-flag victory. “That was a mega success and a really great weekend for our team Emil Frey Racing. Victory yesterday, the top step of the podium again today – it doesn’t get any better,” said former Formula 1 driver Aitken, whose lap time of 1:34.715 minutes was not only the fastest of the race, but also a new lap record in Zandvoort in the ADAC GT Masters. Local favourite Thierry Vermeulen (19/NL) also had cause for celebration. The friend of Formula 1 world champion Max Verstappen finished runner-up with Car Collection Motorsport to claim his first podium in the ADAC GT Masters. Two-time Formula 1 world champion Emerson Fittipaldi from Brazil presented the trophies to the successful drivers. Another record was broken at the circuit in the Dutch dunes: With 14,500 spectators, the German GT Championship recorded its third crowd record in a row.

The Paul Miller Racing team notched another top-five starting position for tomorrow’s IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen at the famed Watkins Glen International. 

Connor De Phillippi will start the No. 25 BMW M Team RLL BMW M4 GT3 from the GTD PRO pole position in tomorrow’s Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen. He posted a 1:44.755- minute lap around the 3.4-mile, 11-turn Watkins Glen International circuit to score the first GTD PRO class pole for the new BMW M4 GT3 and the second pole of his BMW M Team RLL career (Sebring, 2018). De Phillippi will co-drive with John Edwards and Augusto Farfus today.

WeatherTech Racing drivers Cooper MacNeil (Hinsdale, Ill), Maro Engel (Germany), and Mikael Grenier (Canada) will start the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen from seventh on the GTD Pro grid at Watkins Glen International for tomorrow’s six-hour race.

Meyer Shank Racing (MSR) got off to a fast start at Watkins Glen International, putting the No. 60 MSR Acura ARX-05 DPi on the pole position for Sunday’s Sahlen’s Six Hour.
