BMW JUNIOR TEAM DRIVES TO FOURTH PLACE AFTER STRONG RECOVERY PERFORMANCE AT THE 1000 km PAUL RICARD

In the second race of the season in the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup, the BMW Junior Team gave an impressive recovery performance to finish the 1000-kilometre race at the Circuit Paul Ricard at Le Castellet (FRA) in fourth place. Racing on this circuit for the first time, Neil Verhagen (USA), Dan Harper (GBR) and Max Hesse (GER) qualified in 22nd place in the BMW M4 GT3. During the six hours of racing, faultless performances and great pace saw them move gradually up through the field. The ROWE Racing car with Nick Catsburg (NED), Augusto Farfus (BRA) and Nick Yelloly (GBR) at the wheel was in a promising position in the race, only to fall back after a punctured tyre.

SASSE AND ORTMANN DO THE GT4 EUROPEAN SERIES DOUBLE FOR PROSPORT AT CIRCUIT PAUL RICARD

Hugo Sasse and Mike David Ortmann continued Aston Martin’s winning streak in this year’s GT4 European Series by fighting through the field to secure a second victory at Circuit Paul Ricard, and in doing so moved to second place in the Silver Cup championship.

GT WORLD CHALLENGE EUROPE 1-2 FINISH FOR FERRARI AT CIRCUIT PAUL RICARD

Ferrari returned to the top of the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS podium in emphatic style as the Iron Lynx crew of Davide Rigon, Antonio Fuoco and Daniel Serra led home a one-two finish for the Italian marque at the Circuit Paul Ricard 1000kms.

TIMO GLOCK TO RACE IN THE DTM AT IMOLA

Timo Glock is back in DTM! After only two race weekends, the ex-Formula 1 driver is making a surprising comeback. The BMW works driver will be a guest driver in the third DTM race weekend (17-19 June) at the legendary Imola Grand Prix circuit, and he will do so with the team of ex-DTM champion Roberto Ravaglia. “Racing in DTM together with Roberto Ravaglia and his team is a cool story,” the 40-year-old is looking forward to his comeback in the long-standing series.

UNITED AUTOSPORTS EMBARK ON SIXTH CONSECUTIVE LE MANS 24 HOURS

United Autosports enter the 90th edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, having contested the prestigious annual race a previous five times. The team’s racing history at Le Mans has not been without success: the notorious win in 2020; a third place finish in 2018 and a top five finish across all six races.

PAUL MILLER RACING QUALIFIES THIRD AT DETROIT

It’s a second-row start for the Paul Miller Racing team at the Detroit Grand Prix, with Madison Snow qualifying the No. 1 Quartz Engine Oils-backed BMW M4 GT3 in the third position for Saturday’s sprint race. 

FRONT ROW START FOR MEYER SHANK RACING IN DETROIT

In a dramatic turn of events at Detroit’s Belle Isle Park, Tom Blomqvist qualified the No. 60 Meyer Shank Racing Acura ARX-05 on the front row and just missed out on the pole position by less than one tenth of a second.

FINAL LE MANS APPEARANCE OF THE TWO PORSCHE GT TEAM 911 RSR

Porsche has set itself a big goal for the final GTE-Pro-class race at Le Mans for the 911 RSR: The works team is determined to secure a class win at the 24 Hours of Le Mans on 11/12 June. The endurance classic on the 13.626-kilometre Circuit des 24 Heures in the west of France will be contested for the 90th time and represents round three of the FIA World Endurance Championship WEC. The Porsche GT Team will field two ca. 378 kW (515 PS) 911s. In the GTE-Am class, five customer squads campaign a total of eight 911 RSR. After careful preparation as part of the Porsche Racing Experience and two years in the European Le Mans Series (ELMS), Hollywood star Michael Fassbender celebrates his Le Mans debut in the No. 93 entry. He has documented his personal “Road to Le Mans” journey in his own YouTube series: With 19 outright victories and 108 class wins, Porsche is by far the most successful manufacturer in the world’s most important sports car race.
