WEATHERTECH RACING TO START SEVENTH AT THE GLEN

WeatherTech Racing drivers Cooper MacNeil (Hinsdale, Ill), Maro Engel (Germany), and Mikael Grenier (Canada) will start the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen from seventh on the GTD Pro grid at Watkins Glen International for tomorrow’s six-hour race.

MEYER SHANK RACING TAKES DPi POINTS LEAD TO WATKINS GLEN

Meyer Shank Racing (MSR) returns to Watkins Glen International holding the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship DPi points lead heading into the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen on Sunday, June 26.

GRT EXTENDS POINTS SCORING STREAK IN SUNDAY’S DTM RACE AT IMOLA

GRT was presented with a challenging Sunday at the Lamborghini home race in Imola. After his spectacular fightback to a podium finish on the previous day, Mirko Bortolotti achieved a hard-fought tenth place in the second race. Clemens Schmid and the Lamborghini factory driver had taken P5 and P10 in qualifying with the Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO despite carrying extra weight. In a turbulent race, Mirko Bortolotti’s points result proved to be the maximum for Grasser Racing. In the driver standings, the Italian is in second position after three of eight race weekends. GRT is currently in fourth place in its debut year in the DTM.

K-PAX RACING SWEEPS VIR

Rounds 5 and 6 of the Fanatec GT World Challenge America Powered by AWS took place at VIRginia International Raceway, known to the racing community as “Heaven on Earth”, which translated to “fairytale” in describing the way the weekend ended up going for K-PAX Racing.

GRT SHINES AT LAMBORGHINI HOME RACE IN THE DTM

Forza GRT! The Austrian Lamborghini team celebrated their best result to date in the legendary racing series in Saturday’s DTM race at Imola. In a fiercely contested heat battle at the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari, Mirko Bortolotti and Clemens Schmid kept their cool until the chequered flag and took third and sixth place. Lamborghini factory driver Mirko Bortolotti made up no less than 13 positions in the field of 28 GT3 cars driving the #63 Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO. Clemens Schmid had a strong start into the day with fourth place in qualifying and subsequently scored the first points of his DTM career in the race. In the overall standings, Mirko Bortolotti and Grasser Racing remain in second place.

WEERTS AND VANTHOOR SEIZE GT WORLD CHALLENGE EUROPE CHAMPIONSHIP ADVANTAGE WITH ZANDVOORT VICTORY

Dries Vanthoor and Charles Weerts are back on top of the Fanatec Sprint standings after the #32 Team WRT Audi crew earned a comfortable victory in the weekend’s opening race at Zandvoort.
