Murod Sultanov beat recently-crowned Blancpain GT Sports Club Overall champion Jens Reno Moller in an enthralling final race of the 2019 season at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.

ADAC GT MASTERS WITH SEVEN EVENTS AND STRONG PROGRAMME AGAIN IN 2020

The ADAC GT Masters is going for continuity once more with seven meets and an attractive and fan-friendly support programme planned for the 2020 calendar. As is by now the tradition, the 14th season of the ADAC GT Masters will open at the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben on the weekend of 24th-26th April 2020 and finish at the Sachsenring, 2nd-4th October 2020. In conjunction with the Super Sports Car League, the ADAC GT4 Germany, the ADAC TCR Germany, the ADAC Formula 4 and the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland will hold races in Germany, the Czech Republic, Austria and the Netherlands next year. Entrants in the ADAC GT Masters will again compete for prize money totalling 500,000 euros plus additional prizes of equipment in 2020.

Mercedes-Benz to power McLaren F1 from 2021 onwards

DONTJE AND GOTZ SECURE A FIRST WIN OF THE ADAC GT MASTERS SEASON FOR MERCEDES-AMG

Indy Dontje (26, NL) and Maximilian Götz (33, GER, both Mann-Filter Team HTP) claimed a first win of the season for Mercedes-AMG at the Sachsenring. In the penultimate race of the campaign, Dontje and Götz were on unbeatable form, completing a lights-to-flag victory by a margin of 31 seconds. The runner-up spot went to Max Hofer (20, AUT) and Christopher Mies (30, GER, both Montaplast by Land-Motorsport), a result that was enough to see Hofer win Saturday’s Pirelli Junior class. Kelvin Snoeks (32, NL) and Mick Wishofer (19, AUT, both Team Zakspeed BKK Mobil Oil Racing) finished third in another Mercedes-AMG GT3. “We’ve done it at last,” exclaimed a jubilant Indy Dontje. “It’s been a really great day today: pole position, a good race and the fastest lap – what more could anyone want?”

HARPER CLOSES IN ON PORSCHE CARRERA CUP GB TITLE WITH POLE AT SILVERSTONE

On a weekend that could see 18-year-old Porsche GB 2018 / 2019 Junior Dan Harper (JTR) secure the 2019 Porsche Carrera Cup GB championship title, the teenager stormed to his sixth pole position of the season. A closely contested qualifying on Silverstone’s fast National circuit saw championship contender Josh Webster (Team Parker Racing) occupying the top of the timesheet for much of the session, however, a late charge from Porsche GB Junior Harper beat Webster and George Gamble (Amigos Redline Racing) to pole – just 0.025secs separating the top two. Porsche GB Junior Harper will share the front row with Webster, his other championship rival, Lewis Plato (Motorbase Performance), will start tomorrow’s race from row three of the grid in P5.
