CADILLAC RACING TEAM MUSTANG SAMPLING FOURTH AT MID-OHIO

Cadillac V-Performance Racing team Mustang Sampling Cadillac finished fourth today at the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Acura Sports Car Challenge at Mid-Ohio. The No. 10 Konica Minolta Cadillac DPi-V.R finished fifth and the No. 31 Whelen Engineering Cadillac DPi-V.R came home in eighth.

WEATHERTECH RACING FINISHES EIGHTH AT MID-OHIO

WeatherTech Racing drivers Cooper MacNeil (Hinsdale, Ill.) and Alessandro Balzan (Italy) drove to an eighth place finish in today’s running of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Acura Sports Car Challenge at Mid-Ohio.

PHOENIX RACING AND HHC MOTORSPORT WIN IN THE GT4 EUROPEAN SERIES AT BRANDS HATCH

Phoenix Racing and HHC Motorsport claimed a win each in today’s GT4 European Series rounds at the Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit. The #5 Audi R8 LMS GT4 won the opening race on Sunday morning, with the #55 Ginetta G55 GT4 taking victory in the second race. Schwede Motorsport won the Pro-Am class in both races, Autorlando was successful in the Am class.

BELGIAN AUDI CLUB TEAM WRT TURNS UP THE HEAT WITH DOUBLE BLANCPAIN GT VICTORY AT SUN-KISSED BRANDS HATCH

Belgian Audi Club Team WRT proved too hot to handle at Brands Hatch, securing both race victories at the second Blancpain GT Series Sprint Cup round of the season.

DI AMATO-MONTERMINI SCORE THEIR FIRST GT OPEN WIN

The RS Racing Ferrari 488 took its maiden win in the International GT Open, as Daniele Di Amato and Andrea Montermini emerged in a dramatic and closely-fought finale. They beat the two Teo Martín BMs of Juan Cruz Álvarez-Lourenço Beirão (who took the lead after the pit stops) and yesterday’s winners, Fran Rueda-Andrés Saravia. The Spaniard and the Guatemalan are now second in the overall standings, closing to 13 points the gap with respect to Mikkel Mac, today fifth.

ALEX LYNN – 6 HOURS OF SPA PREVIEW

It’s my Aston Martin Racing debut this weekend in the opening round of the FIA World Endurance Championship with the 6 Hours of Spa, and to say I’m excited about it would be a massive understatement.

2018-19 FIA WEC SEASON KICKS OFF WITH FIVE FERRARI CREWS

The Super Season of the World Endurance Championship (WEC) kicks off this weekend. The championship will last more than a year, concluding in about 13 months with the 2019 Le Mans 24 Hours. Next year’s proceedings will open with a race at Sebring, followed by the second race at Spa-Francorchamps in May and the Le Mans 24 Hours in June.

ZENT CERUMO LC500’s TAKES SUPER GT POLE POSITION AT FUJI

The qualifying for the FUJI GT 500km RACE, Round 2 of the 2018 AUTOBACS SUPER GT series, was held at the Fuji Speedway (one lap 4,563 m) in Shizuoka Prefecture on May 3. In the GT500 class, the No. 38 ZENT CERUMO LC500 (Yuji Tachikawa/Hiroaki Ishiura) won pole position with the driving of Tachikawa, which extended his own record for most pole positions in the GT500 class to 23. In the GT300 class, the No. 55 ARTA BMW M6 GT3(Shinichi Takagi/Sean Walkinshaw) won the class pole driven by Takagi. These two cars will start from front position on their respective class starting grids in the race on May 4.

ALAN HELLMEISTER JOINS MARCELO HAHN IN THE DRIVEX MERCEDES-AMG AT PAUL RICARD

The second round of the International GT Open will take place at Paul Ricard next weekend and the Drivex-entered Mercedes AMG GT3 is a favourite in the Pro-Am class. Marcelo Hahn and Allam Khodair claimed their first win of the season at Estoril and the Spain-based team and their drivers feel extremely optimistic ahead of Round 2.

The Six Hours of Spa-Francorchamps (BEL) on Saturday are the season opener in the FIA World Endurance Championship (FIA WEC) for the new BMW M8 GTE. The entire BMW M Motorsport team, BMW Team MTEK and the BMW WEC drivers have completed an intensive and strenuous programme. The focus was not just on the development of the new BMW M8 GTE – the people behind the machine have also been hard at work, meticulously preparing for the FIA WEC entry.

The No. 2 Nissan Onroak DPi and the No. 22 Nissan Onroak DPi have each celebrated podium finishes in the last two races, and will look to carry that momentum into round four of the championship.

STUNNING BRANDS HATCH ENTRY FOR GT4 EUROPEAN SERIES

The GT4 European Series is heading to the UK this weekend (5-6 May) for the second meeting of the 2018 season. A capacity entry of 46 cars will take part in this year’s race, as two British GT contenders will make a guest appareance and join the regular entry of 44 cars on the 3.9km Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit.

BMW TEAM RLL HOPES FOR HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE AT MID-OHIO

This weekend, the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship returns to the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, in Lexington, Ohio, for the first time since 2012 and sees BMW Team RLL back at its home circuit, just over an hour’s drive from the team’s Hilliard, Ohio base.
