MS&AD ANDRETTI FORMULA E SET TO ELECTRIFY THE STREETS OF ROME

The ABB FIA Formula E Championship heads to Europe this Saturday, 14th April, for the first Rome (ITA) E-Prix. BMW works drivers António Félix da Costa (POR) and Tom Blomqvist (GBR) return to the cockpits of the MS&AD Andretti cars. Blomqvist was behind the wheel of the BMW iFE.18 in Maisach (GER) last Tuesday and completed the roll-out for the car, which BMW will be using for the works entry in Season 5 of Formula E.

FERDINAND HABSBURG TO RACE IN THE GT OPEN WITH DRIVEX MERCEDES AMG

Drivex is set to field two Mercedes AMG GT3 cars in the opening round at Estoril next weekend. The full-season International GT Open Mercedes AMG GT3 in the hands of Marcelo Hahn and Allam Khodair will be joined by another “silver arrow” in Portugal. Not many racers will ever compete alongside their manager but Ferdinand Habsburg (AUT) and his manager double-World Champion Jamie Campbell Walter (GBR) will contest International GT Open at Estoril together in a Drivex Mercedes AMG GT3.

TechLab for BMW iNEXT”: This tag-line was prominently featured on the new BMW i Motorsport race car for the ABB FIA Formula E Championship. This car completed its historic first appearance on the BMW and MINI Driving Academy site in Maisach, near Munich (GER).
