Bell and M1 GT Racing will be a force in 2018
Unofficially announced a few weeks ago by rumors in the media, Floridian Jason Bell can finally confirm his participation in the Pirelli World Challenge (PWC) program with M1 GT Racing. Piloting a brand new Audi R8 GT4 machine, Bell is set to compete in the GT division with a professional racing program in the quest for race wins, podiums and ultimately, the end of the year championship.
“I am finally able to confirm that 2018 will see me back with the boys from M1 GT Racing and behind the wheel of a brand new R8 GT4 machine,” explained Bell. “The Pirelli World Challenge program is where I want to be and M1 GT Racing is one of the most professional and experienced teams in the paddock. I am looking forward to testing and the start of the season in St. Petersburg.”
Competing in the GTA and SprintX programs in 2017 with M1 GT Racing, Bell, a multi-time podium winner in PWC competition, will shift his focus for the 2018 season. Resigning with the professional M1 GT Racing program for the upcoming year, Bell has the determination and the support to succeed.
Bell continued, “There is a lot of changes for me since the end of 2017 but the constants remain the M1 GT squad and the Audi brand. Familiarity brings success and I am confident that I am with the best program in the paddock. Our car is set to arrive in early January and we are looking to do a shakedown during the middle of the month before an intense test program gets underway.”
“We are delighted to have Jason back in our program,” explained Remi Lanteigne, Technical Director and Team Manager for M1 GT Racing. “He proved his speed in 2017 and is very motivated for the upcoming season. He brings experience to the table and is surrounded by a wealth of knowledge. He knows the PWC program well and will be a threat each and every race weekend. Welcome back to the team Jason!”
Receiving support from Wells Fargo Bank, MotorSports by Reeves, Gridsport and Highway Systems Incorporated, Bell will do an official car launch in March with a very unique announcement that should get fans and fellow competitors revved up for the upcoming season.
