Global Motorsports Group driver Jason Bell is heading west to Portland, Oregon for the next round of the Pirelli World Challenge. Set to take on the Portland International Raceway, Bell will be shooting for the race win as he pilots a brand new Audi R8 GT4 LMS after an incident at Road America destroyed his primary car.
“I have to say thanks to the GMG squad for all the hard work and extra hours they put in getting a new car ready for this weekend,” explained Bell. “It was unfortunate what happened in Wisconsin but I am ready to turn the page and put that behind me.”
Showing tremendous speed on Saturday at Road America, Bell ran inside the top-five for the majority of the event after starting from deeper in the field. As one of the fastest Audi’s on track, the Florida resident ended up with another top-five finish crossing the stripe in fifth.
Bell continued, “I have never been to the Portland facility but have done my homework. A new car, great supporters and a high quality team will give me the chance for victory this weekend and I will look to build on the success from the GMG program.”
With on track competition set to commence on Friday, wheel-to-wheel action will kick off Saturday with the first of two races on the weekend. Stay tuned to the Jason Bell Racing Facebook page for up to date news, info, photos and results trackside from Portland.
Jason Bell would like to thank his partners for their continued support. A special thanks to Continental Benefits, Osteria, Frost NYC, Gridsport, Reeves Motorsports, Audi of Tampa and Global Motorsports Group.
