The Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya marks the first official event of preseason testing as Marcelo Hahn is back to the wheel of the Drivex Mercedes AMG GT3. Instead of Allan Khodair, fellow countryman Alan Hellmeister will team up with Hahn in Barcelona. Hahn and Hellmeister already scored a first place podium finish at Paul Ricard last year..
Barcelona hosts a two-day dress rehearsal devoted to testing and both Drivex drivers will share track activities with other rivals who also will contest full-season GT Open programmes. There are four 60-minute long sessions each day.
Hahn and Khodair set ambitious goals for their second season competing in the International GT Open: regular podium and title contenders in Pro-Am class.
Miguel Ángel de Castro: “They will be two interesting testing days because despite we have much experience in Barcelona from previous sessions in the International GT Open, it’s an important circuit because title fight goes down to the wire there. Besides, it’s a kind of reference track because if you are competitive there, you are also fast in others places. Other brands such as Ferrari, BMW or Lamborghini are attending the Winter Series event in Montmeló, so we will be able to know where we are. We put a good effort in our workshop ahead of track action, it’s time for that paying off.”
