Driver Quotes:
Daren Jorgensen, Driver
“SRO Motorsports Group has built a competitive platform with the InterContinental GT Challenge. The inaugural California 8 Hours was an impressive event with drivers, teams and manufacturers from all over the world. Participating in the 2018 event was a simple decision. RHC Lawrence-Strom will partner with MarcGT Australia and Strom Motorsports to support us in the event. We have so much confidence that SRO and Pirelli World Challenge will put on a quality event we are already looking to put our second BMW M4GT4 in the race.”
Brett Strom, Driver
“Competing in my first InterContinental GT Challenge event at Mount Panorama was an incredible experience and I’m looking forward to my second event with the series, and reuniting with my Bathurst 12 Hour co-drivers, for the California 8 Hours. Laguna Seca is a low-grip surface and a technical track, which will suit our BMW M4GT4 well. We had a strong debut with our BMW M4GT4 at the Bathurst 12 Hour with MarcGT, so I have high expectations for the California 8 Hour and look forward to working with MarcGT again.”
Cameron Lawrence, Driver
“The California 8 Hour is a new event for me, which always brings additional excitement coming into a race weekend. I was impressed with the number of cars and caliber of teams in attendance at the inaugural California 8 Hour, and I’m certain we’ll have tough competition this year. Our RHC Lawrence-Strom drivers are confident with the BMW M4GT4 after the Bathurst 12 Hour and additional pro level races during 2018. I’m looking forward to October, and my first SRO California 8 Hour.”
