For the 16th edition of the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Final, BRP Powertrain is pleased to be able to rely on longstanding partners to provide the chassis for the global event.

For the 6th consecutive year, Sodikart, a French company and the world’s top kart manufacturer, was selected as an official supplier for the international Rotax race meeting. In 2015, Sodi will make frames available to the competitors in two of the four categories at the competition in Portugal.

Bertrand Pignolet, the CEO of Sodikart, shares his excitement about this new challenge: “Since 1988, Sodikart has had a close and strong relationship with Rotax. In November 2015, for the 6th consecutive year, Sodikart will be proud to participate in the biggest karting event of the year: the Rotax Grand Final. In a major development for the 16th event, Sodikart has the challenge of being the chassis supplier in two categories, Senior and DD2 Master. Sodikart certainly has the experience and the resources, both human and technical, to fulfill the mission. The Sodikart team has stepped up its efforts to further increase the quality of the equipment and supply the drivers with fantastic Sodi Sigma RS and DD2. We will meet in Portugal for this unforgettable event.”

Building, assembling, inspecting and shipping 158 racing karts is not an easy task. The different departments of the Nantes factory; Design, Production, Logistics and Events, have worked closely for several months in carrying out the preparation for the appointment at Portimao. Who better than the world’s leading kart manufacturer to take on this difficult task? Renowned for its perfect organisation and the quality of its products, Sodikart has risen to the challenge with its usual gusto.

For the two categories, no less than 154 complete karts have been assembled with the utmost rigor, 77 Sigma RS Senior and 77 DD2 complete karts, plus five spare karts in each category. In total, over three tons of metal (steel technology) were used, 500m of tube and 250m of welding. The transport of the equipment alone required five articulated lorries and two support vehicles. A dozen people are there to manage logistics in addition to all of the representatives at the disposal of customers and to present the Sodi range. The three factory drivers will also be present, with Arnaud Kozlinski being the captain of Team France.

This event will also allow many competitors, French and foreign, to discover the value of the Sodi chassis in high level competition. No fewer than 288 drivers from 60 different countries are expected in Portugal for the event.

Now it’s time for the race and the show!
