Looking forward to the 2016 karting season, Ocala Gran Prix is solidifying plans for series of competition and drivers for their karting program.
Confirming participation at the MAXSpeed Entertainment Florida Winter Tour, Ocala Gran Prix is also very happy to announce that they will compete in the entire US Open program in 2016.
“We travelled with a pair of drivers to the US Open of Las Vegas finale and saw the true benefits of the US Open program,” explained Nate Grindell, Director of Racing at Ocala Gran Prix. “After speaking with Mike Speed and Jorge Arellano about the professionalism of the series and the event, we have decided that we need to be there next season and will work hard to support the MAXSpeed team as well as the Rotax and Stock Honda markets.”
As a fixture at the front of the field in North American karting, Ocala Gran Prix will bring a host of competitors to the 2016 edition of the series. With the goal of winning, team drivers and customers will be striving for race wins, podiums and tickets to the Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals throughout the season.
Grindell added, “We are not ruling out competing in other series in 2016, but I need to focus on where the competition is and what my customers want to do. The US Open has impressed me in their rookie year and we are ready to jump on board and support them next season.”
