If you’ve been following Red Bull Global Rallycross iRacing action on RaceSpot TV’s #DIRTNight shows, you know that Mitchell deJong’s dominance has nearly been a given. Fans expecting a surprise on Friday night found themselves wanting once again, as the 2014 GRC Lites champion and current pro Supercar driver scored yet another dominant victory at Daytona International Speedway.
Now at an astonishing 11 consecutive #DIRTNight wins, deJong will look to go for a perfect sweep next week as the season wraps up at Iowa Speedway. But Friday night’s results also saw two #DIRTNight regulars crack the podium for the first time on the featured broadcast, as Race Clutch’s Yohann Harth and Joker Lane Racing’s Connor Parise grabbed second and third.

Once again, it was deJong and Steliyan Chepilevski sweeping the two heats, while Bobby Zalenski returned to take the checkered flag in the consolation race. deJong defended his lead on the start, while Harth and Jake Hewlett split their way around Chepilevski for second and third on lap one as Zalenski and Sindre Setsaas made contact behind the field.
Harth cemented second place early by taking the Joker Lap right away, but his move caused Hewlett to cut back into the main lane, and the chain reaction led to contact between Chepilevski and Fabian Menetrey. That freed up space for Parise to get around them both for fourth, where he would remain until Hewlett made a mistake over the jump on the final lap. With just a few corners remaining, Parise nudged Hewlett out of the way to claim the final podium spot.
