Arden pleased to see Arden JOTA partnership kicking off in winning style
Arden and Jota Sport established a partnership in the latter half of 2015 and over this last weekend the success on track reflects the developed strength of the relationship over the winter.
Jota Sport took to the track for the first European Le Mans Race weekend in Silverstone, with G-Drive Racing Team running the Gibson-Nissan 015 in the LMP2 category and won convincingly in a weekend full of tricky changeable conditions and then backed that up with a podium in the first WEC race of the season.
“It’s great to see our partner team Jota kicking off the season with a win in Silverstone. A few of us from Arden attended the race and its clear the whole Sportscar events are really impressive. It looked a difficult weekend as the weather was constantly changing and I think it was snowing at some point so those ones are always really good to win.
It was actually a very strong weekend for the whole group with us having pole position and a win in the opening round of the FV8 3.5 championship in Motorland with Orudzhev and Panis and then a double podium for our young Australian F4 driver Luis Leeds at Donington who before last week had never even driven the circuit before so it was an impressive weekend from him ” says Arden Press Coordinator, Deborah Lyall
“The partnership with Jota has definitely been a benefit to both of us already so far, and we are working on continuing to develop that.
We are really looking forward to seeing Jake Dennis drive the LMP2 car in Spa WEC round 2 in a few of weeks’ time in preparation for Le Mans”.
Aurelien Panis takes maiden win in Formula V8 3.5 Series at the opening round in Motorland, Spain.
Luis Leeds takes 2nd place at Round 4 & Round 6 of the MSA Formula Championship at Donington, UK.
