Penalty for De Vries

Nyck De Vries has been given a 3 grid position penalty by the race stewards following this afternoon’s qualifying session at the Circuit de Monaco after being judged to have impeded Antonio Fuoco in the Group B session.

The Dutchman was judged to have remained on the racing line at Turn 18 (Anthony Noghes) on a slow lap, while Fuoco was on a hot lap.

The grid drop will be added to the 3 place penalty he received following the sprint race in Barcelona, when De Vries was judged to have been too optimistic in trying to overtake Fuoco, causing a collision between the pair.
