LECLERC’S QUARTET, FUOCO ON THE PODIUM
Charles Leclerc took his fourth win of the season today and Antonio Fuoco finished a brilliant third.
The fifth round of the FIA Formula 2 championship at the Red Bull Ring saw Charles Leclerc win, after starting from pole and taking total command of the race throughout its 40 laps. This was an outstanding day for the Ferrari Driver Academy, as Antonio Fuoco came home third, to secure his first podium finish in this category. This win in Austria, his fourth of the season, sees Leclerc increase his lead over the second placed driver in the championship to 59 points. Fuoco has been on the pace all weekend, qualifying second and then fighting off a last lap challenge to keep third place. Tomorrow, with the reversed grid, Leclerc and Fuoco will start alongside each other on the fourth row of the grid.
