Daniel Abt grabbed his first career Formula E win in Mexico City as Kiwi Mitch Evans produced another superb drive to bank points.
Audi driver Abt took the chequered flag in the opening round at Hong Kong before Christmas but had his victory taken from him for running an illegal part but there was no issue with his win on Sunday.
Panasonic Jaguar Racing’s Evans had his car lose power for a couple of vital seconds during his qualifying run, which saw him have to start the race buried in position 14. But for the second race running he drove through the field to finish the race in sixth and secure some vital championship points.
Pole-sitter Felix Rosenqvist made a good start and had a small gap on the field midway through his opening stint when his Mahindra lost power and he failed to finish.

Oliver Turvey held off former champion Sebastien Buemi for second place while Nelson Piquet Jr made a late pass on championship leader Jean-Eric Vergne to ensure both Jaguars finished well inside the points.
