Race review
Buemi had a great start keeping first place thru 3 laps with Bird very close behind
Alex Lynn spins out with contact from Abt on the second lap but his car is okay and he is able to continue.
Prost gets spun around on lap 3 while battling for 15th place but his car again is not damaged so he is able to continue but rejoins just behind Lynn.
Lap 6 the top 5 drivers are very well matched al within 5 seconds of each other.
Di Grassi having electrical problems on lap 8 with his car coming to a halt on the track. Di Grassi retires on lap 10 due to electrical problems.
Race control has given ABT a drive-thru penalty for the incident with Alex Lynn on lap 2.
Bird closing the gap to Buemi just before the halfway mark just .2 seconds off.
Rosenqvist passes bird on the 16th lap up to second place behind Buemi. Bird seems to have power issues or is he playing the strategy to stay out longer. Full course yellow deployed for Lotterrer’s car just as everybody comes in for their car change. Top 3 places stay the same.
When will Buemi use his fan boost?
Buemi not able to resist Rosenqvistwho passes him on lap 29 only 4 laps left for Buemi to retake the first position.
Victory for Felix Rosenqvist, in second Buemi, could not resist the charging Mahindra driver in the late stage of the race but fends off third-place finisher the always fast Sam Bird.
Felix Rosenqvist leads the championship after 3 rounds.
