Wehrlein will be joining the Sauber F1 team for the 2017 race season letting us understand that Bottas will be the favor for taking Nico Rosberg’s place at the side of Hamilton at Mercedes F1. The final details of the transfer will be done over the coming days.
Wehrlein will be racing with new teammate Marcus Ericsson for the 2017 race season.
As we understand with Wehrlein being overshadowed by his lack of experience on the F1 stage which put him as a second choice for the Mercedes F1 seat, now will be taking more experience withh Sauber F1.
With Massa staying on for an extra season with Williams alongside rookie driver Lance Stroll , Bottas is now free to join the Mercedes F1 team.
