Zak Brown, McLaren’s CEO, has commented on the incident which cost Carlos Sainz from having a decent race in Bahrain.

“Based on the onboard images, I would say that the turn was Carlos,” he told Motorsport-total.com.

“It was a racing incident, but Carlos was driving far enough for him so that the turn was his, which meant Max should have made room. We know, however, that he is not doing that,” he continued.

“At that time Carlos was faster than Max anyway, I wouldn’t say that without the incident he would have finished fourth, but…” the American added.
