New Duo Prize Fund provides cash award down to 10th place in every race

The BRDC British Formula 3 Championship will be in association with Duo for the 2016 season. Duo plc, a UK-based international company specialising in providing the construction industry with material processing systems, particularly aggregate washing, will continue its relationship with the championship as an associate sponsor, having title sponsored the final season of BRDC Formula 4 in 2015.

The new Duo Prize Fund will see the top 10 drivers in each BRDC British Formula 3 race awarded with a cash prize, which will be presented at the end of each event, with the winner of each race receiving £250, the runner-up £200 and third place £175.

As part of the agreement, confirmed today by Duo and BRDC British F3 promoter MSV, all BRDC British F3 cars will carry Duo branding on the nose cone and rear wing, with further branding on the race suit of every driver, and on the British F3 podium backdrop, as well as featuring prominently on race programme covers, all other printed materials and the British F3 website. The Duo logo will be made visible to hundreds of thousands of motorsport fans through BRDC British F3 race events, which will co-headline with British GT at seven meetings this year, through wide-reaching media, and comprehensive TV coverage in the UK and internationally, including a one-hour dedicated highlights show on ITV4.

Jonathan Palmer, MSV Chief Executive, commented: “I’m delighted that Duo has expanded its involvement with our new British F3 championship. Duo Chief Executive Alex Moss is a tremendous supporter of national motor racing and is an expert at exploiting its marketing potential.”

Alex Moss, Chief Executive of Duo Group, said: “We’re delighted that Duo will continue to partner the UK’s leading single-seater championship as it enters an exciting new era as BRDC British F3. And thanks to the new Duo Prize Fund, we will be directly supporting as many young drivers as possible as they take another step forward in their motorsport careers.”
