Bruno Carneiro’s round 1 and 2 review
Dear friends! I would like to apologize for the delay on my report about the first round of the 2018 Japanese F3 Championship. We suffered the loss of a dear friend and engineer, as well as a family member that I really loved this past week. But here it goes:
We were competitive all weekend with the B-Max/ Rodizio Grill / Dallara-Volkswagen car always very close to the top.
Me and my new teammate Yu Kanamaru ( who came from European F-Renault 2.0 and 3.5) were always very close and ended up qualifying P7 and P8 for the races. From P3 to P8 the gap was only 3 tenths!
We just need to find a bit more secrets on the Yokohama tires and we will be fighting for podiums and wins.
After great fights and overtakes, I was able to bring the B-Max/Rodizio Grill/ Dallara-Volkswagen home in P6 and in the points on both races, on 1.2 sec behind my teammate who finished P5 on both races.
In only 2 races, I already have double the points I had in 20 races last year and I know I can fight for the Championship.
I want to thank everyone at B-Max Racing, Dragon, Hosoki-San, my engineer Nakai-San and my awesome mechanics.
Many thanks to my amazing sponsors, especially Rodizio Grill and Ivan Utrera, my wonderful FANS and Friends!
I am extremely thankful to everyone at Ayrton Senna Institute , for allowing me to honor my hero Ayrton Senna in Japan, on a partnership to promote the work of the Institute and the amazing opportunities they create to millions of children in Brazil, their continuous effort to improve Brazil, as well as honoring Ayrton Senna in Japan! Thank you!
Let’s hope we can continue fighting! #BC21 #SponsorsWanted 😊
