“Eight” B’Day for Fittipaldi (Lotus) in Motorland Aragon
Pietro Fittipaldi (Lotus) found the best way to start the day as he got the pole position at the end of World Series Formula V8 3.5 second qualifying session on Motorland Aragon race track. It’s the eight time out of ten qualifying that the Brasilian has the upper hand, a perfect way to celebrate his 21st birthday.
Also Rene Binder (Lotus) finally can smile. He still enjoy the leadership in the championship and he has all the reasons to think positive since he’s got P2 on the grid, with the whole first row owned by the Czech firm, the leader in the teams’ standings. The third man is Konstantin Tereschenko (Teo Martin Motorsport), the Russian driver who this morning doubled the best rookie finish he already got in race 1 yesterday.
P4 is for Alfonso Celis Jr. (Fortec Motorsports): after yesterday podium he will have to remount again this afternoon. The top-5 is completed by japanise driver Yu Kanamaru (RP Motorsport). Race 2, with a mandatory pit-stop between lap 5 and lap 13, will start at 13:50. Two Red Bull Show Formula 1 are scheduled at 13:20 and 14:55.
