Competing in the IMSA Prototype Challenge Presented by Mazda, Alianza Motorsports, in a working relationship with Forty7 Motorsports, has not only risen to the forefront, but now has their sights set on the future. Appointing Peruvian karting sensation Eduardo Espejo Jr. to the newly formed Alianza Motorsports Junior Driver Program, the growing program is not only prepared to achieve their short term goals, but onwards into the future.
While his older brother Rodrigo Pflucker has been behind the wheel of the Forty7 Motorsports featuring Alianza car since the start of the season, Pflucker’s skills and natural abilities have been proven and helped elevate the program to be a force at each and every event weekend. As a former multi-time karting champion, 2014 Volkswagen R Cup Champion, 2015 Formula 4 Uruguay Champion and experienced in two Formula Renault 2.0 seasons, Rodrigo brings knowledge and professionalism to the program. With natural talent running in the family, Eduardo Espejo Jr, the younger brother of Rodrigo, has entered into an agreement with Alianza to be the first competitor in their Junior Driver Program as they begin to prepare for the future.
“Eduardo Jr. is young but is a natural behind the wheel,” explained Lorne Kelly. “He has had much success in the karting ranks in Peru and has been approached by many car teams for their future programs. He will begin testing formula cars in the next year or so with the ultimate goal of sports cars in the future. We welcome him to the Alianza Motorsports family with the official title of an Alianza Motorsports Junior Driver.”
While Eduardo Jr. still competes in elite level karting, he has already been learning the ins and outs of sponsor and partner relationships for future success. Along with his Junior Driver recognition, Eduardo Jr. is also supported by cryptocurrency company Nikola Tesla Unite and their digital money brand of NIKO Coins.
Kelly continued, “Our goal is to be associated with drivers in every level of motorsports and we have several more announcements coming in the next few weeks. We will continue to evolve our Junior Driver Program and grow the Alianza Motorsports name and brand. While we were forced to miss the most recent event at VIR, we cannot wait to get to Road Atlanta for the Petit LeMans week with Rodrigo and his co-driver Anthony Simone and show the motorsports community what Alianza Motorsports is made of.”
