It was a positive Grand Prix for the Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 Team, finishing in the points for the third time this season with Charles Leclerc in P10, and Marcus Ericsson in P13. Both drivers gave a strong performance, fighting for positions in the midfield. Monegasque rookie Charles Leclerc has brought home another point for the Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 Team just a few days after scoring his first Formula 1 points in Baku. Marcus Ericsson performed well, especially in the first stint, with good attacks and defence on medium tyres. The team now holds a total of 11 points this season (P9 in the Constructors’ Championship). Charles Leclerc is currently in P13, and Marcus Ericsson in P16 in the Drivers’ Championship.
Williams Lance Stroll finished 11th and Sergey Sirotkin 14th in the Spanish Grand Prix Both cars started on the soft Pirelli tyre, with Lance starting 18th and Sergey 19th Lance had an excellent start to climb to P12 on the opening lap meanwhile a crash between Grosjean, Hulkenberg and Gasly brought out the Safety Car Sergey had to take evasive action to avoid the crash and then pitted under the Safety Car, swapping to the medium tyre Lance stayed on the soft tyre until lap 20 (...) -

The Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 Team has successfully completed qualifying ahead of the 2018 FIA Formula 1 Emirates Spanish Grand Prix. The C37 proved to be strong on the demanding Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya and both drivers worked well. Charles Leclerc successfully finished in Q2 for the second time in a row, qualifying 14th, while Marcus Ericsson struggled a a little with the softer compound and finished in P17, but overall is confident in his pace and ability to gain positions in the race.
After getting the call up yesterday to fill in this weekend for his injured teammate Pietro Fittipaldi, Zach Claman De Melo made as much as he could with his limited seat time on the road course at Indianapolis Motor Speedway and qualified 19th
Firstly I want to congratulate Robert on his first official F1 session since he left the sport at the end of 2010. He did a fantastic job for us today, and it is a great credit to his determination and character that we have seen his return to F1.

Red Bull DANIEL RICCIARDO “It was a day of two halves. The car felt pretty different this afternoon and I think that showed. The mistake in to Turn 4 this morning was a costly one and I missed the final hour of the session because of it. Tail winds are a big thing in F1 and in any corners with a tail wind you lose a lot of rear grip. Turn 4 is a bad corner to have a tail wind and it caught me and a few others out. Silverstone will play host to a 52-car field of GT3 machinery next weekend when the Blancpain GT Series makes its annual trip to the historic venue for a three-hour Endurance Cup contest.

This was an interesting meeting for me as I had never seen Knockhill run in reverse, anti-clockwise direction. It turns out the circuit provides great racing in either direction, and provides some variety for the season for both competitors and spectators.
