Superbike Doubleheader Weekend Underway At CTMP
In Friday’s action, Clarksburg, Ontario’s Ben Young scored the pole for Saturday’s featured Mopar Canadian Superbike Championship Race 1. Riding the No. 86 BMW S1000RR, Young posted the fastest time in qualifying with a 1:20.523. Starting alongside Young on Saturday will be 12-time series Champion Jordan Szoke. Szoke, from Lynden, Ont., rode his No. 1 BMW S1000RR to a time of 1:20.991. Szoke comes into the weekend looking to secure his 13th, and fourth straight, championship.
AUDI CUSTOMER TEAMS HEAD TO SHANGHAI FOR GT MASTERS ASIA
Following a clean sweep of victories in the GT Masters Asia opening rounds in Ningbo last month, Audi customer teams will be back in action as the series resumes at the 5.451km Shanghai International Circuit this weekend.
FOUR SERIES – FOUR PIT STOPS: PACE AND PERFECTION IN ALL ASPECTS
Perfect pit stops are important for success in every race series. While it will be primarily about the speed of changing tyres at next weekend’s DTM races in Brands Hatch (GBR), in endurance races such as the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps (BEL), it’s the right timing and coordination of the different procedures that is crucial. In addition to changing the tyres, the car is refuelled and a new driver enters the cockpit. We provide an overview of the pit stops in the various race series in which BMW M Motorsport is involved and compare the stops at the upcoming DTM races with those in the FIA WEC, the IMSA series and at the Spa-Francorchamps 24 Hours.
Action Sprint Tour Makes Second Trip to Humberstone This Sunday
After a 40-day layoff in June and July, the Series is now in the middle of four races in as many weeks. The Action Sprint Tour powered by RaceRivalz.com is coming off an exciting event last Friday night at Ohsweken Speedway as Jacob Dykstra bested a field of 30 entrants. This Sunday’s stop marks the third race of the stretch. Following Humberstone, the tour will head to its most eastern point when it makes its inaugural appearance at Brighton Speedway on Saturday, August 18.

The penultimate round of the 2018 Pirelli World Challenge (PWC) season has arrived, and this week the two Flying Lizard Motorsports Audi R8 GT4 cars will compete at the Grand Prix of Utah in Tooele, Utah.
