The first-ever SRO GT4 Sprint Cup Europe will join the DTM at the Hockenheimring on October 12-14 as the European GT4 season comes to close. After the dramatic GT4 European Series season final at the Nürburgring and the upcoming GT4 Central European Cup and GT4 France finals, the GT4 Sprint Cup Europe gives the teams the ultimate chance to race in Europe. GT4 cars from Porsche, BMW, Mercedes, KTM, Ginetta and Ekris are set to compete in Germany.

Porsche has unveiled the new 935 on the occasion of the historic “Rennsport Reunion” motorsport event at Laguna Seca Raceway in California. The 515 kW (700 hp) racer featuring a body reminiscent of the legendary Porsche 935/78 will be produced in a limited number of 77 units. “This spectacular car is a birthday present from Porsche Motorsport to fans all over the world,” says Dr Frank-Steffen Walliser, Vice President Motorsport and GT Cars. “Because the car isn’t homologated, engineers and designers didn’t have to follow the usual rules and thus had freedom in the development.”
Further to the sad circumstances earlier this month, the passing of Dr. Don Panoz, Team Panoz Racing can confirm that they will be returning to the track in 2019 to honor the legacy of the late team owner. Don Panoz passed on Tuesday, September 11th, following a short battle with pancreatic cancer. Known for saving sports car racing in North America and always trying to have the most technologically advanced car on track, the team will race in his name, aiming to enjoy a 23rdyear of racing success in 2019.

With plans to compete in at least two major events before the close of the calendar year, the Global Motorsports Group driver has confirmed participation in the Pirelli World Challenge 8 Hours Intercontinental GT Challenge.
