CADILLAC RACING HEADS TO-OHIO

The IMSA WeatherTech Championship is coming off of a two-month hiatus for the year’s first sprint race at Mid-Ohio Sportscar Course. Mid-Ohio is known for its rolling terrain and signature Carousel and Keyhole turns as well as the key passing zone into Turn 4. The 2.4-mile, 15-turn track is a driver favorite and usually makes for great multi-class racing.

BMW TEAMS COMPLETE DRESS REHEARSAL FOR THE 2021 24H NURBURGRING

The BMW teams completed the final endurance test ahead of the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring (GER) this weekend, the six-hour qualifying race. ROWE Racing, Schubert Motorsport, Walkenhorst Motorsport and the BMW Junior Team were in action with their BMW M6 GT3s, as were countless other BMW teams in the various classes. The dress rehearsal for the Eifel classic took place in glorious weather, and the teams used the weekend to make preparations in race conditions. The 49th running of the 24-hour race on the Nordschleife will be held on 5th/6th June.

CALLAWAY COMPETITION LINES UP WITH TWO RACE WINNERS IN THE ADAC GT MASTERS

With one week remaining until the opening round of this season’s ADAC GT Masters, Callaway Competition has announced its driver line-up: Marvin Kirchhöfer (27/Leipzig) and Switzerland’s Jeffrey Schmidt (27) will share the driving duties in the Corvette C7 GT3-R run by the team from Baden-Württemberg. The new pairing will make its debut together next week (14th to 16th May), when Oschersleben hosts the opening round of the German GT Championship.

The Lamborghini Super Trofeo is a reference point in the global panorama of one-make championships, divided into three different continental series: North America, Asia and Europe, which each year, at the end of the season, compete in the Lamborghini World Final. There are six rounds on the calendar for each series, each consisting of free practice, qualifying, and two 50-minute races, and four categories of drivers complete: Pro, Pro-Am, Am and Lamborghini Cup.

ASTEMO NSX-GT WINS SUPER GT BY A CLOSE MARGIN AT FUJI

The Takanokono Hotel FUJI GT 500km RACE, round 2 of the 2021 AUTOBACS SUPER GT series was held on the afternoon of May 4th (Tues., holiday) at Fuji Speedway (one lap 4,563m × 110 laps). In the GT500 class, the No. 17 Astemo NSX-GT (Koudai Tsukakoshi/Bertrand Baguette) took the lead with a well-timed pit stop and held off the pursuers in the second half to take the win. In the GT300 class, the No. 60 SYNTIUM LMcorsa GR Supra GT (Hiroki Yoshimoto/Shunsuke Kohno) took the win.

LAMBORGHINI CONTINUES PERFECT START TO GT WORLD CHALLENGE AMERICA SEASON AT COTA

Lamborghini remains unbeaten in the 2021 Fanatec GT World Challenge America powered by AWS season following another double victory for K-PAX Racing at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas. Lamborghini Factory Driver Andrea Caldarelli and team-mate Jordan Pepper claimed the third consecutive victory for the #3 car in a rain-affected opener, while fellow Factory Driver Giovanni Venturini and Corey Lewis took the sister #6 car to its first win of the year in Race 2 following a last-lap pass on Pepper.
