BMW M MOTORSPORT PRESENTS THE BMW M4 GT3 AT THE NURBURGRING: FIRST TEST RACE JUST AROUND THE CORNER

 The curtain is raised on the BMW M4 GT3 in its new BMW M Motorsport design: ahead of the Nürburgring 24 Hours (GER), BMW’s new GT flagship was revealed in its new livery, heralding the final phase of testing. The BMW M4 GT3 will contest its first race on 26th June at round four of the Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS). The purchase price for the car, which has undergone significant improvements in the areas of driveability, cost efficiency and operation, will be € 415,000 net. GRT GRASSER RACING TEAM IMPRESS IN FRANCE WITH FIRST PODIUM IN 2021 GT WORLD CHALLENGE EUROPE

GRT Grasser Racing Team achieved their first notable success in the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup since returning to contest the highly competitive GT3 series. The Austrian outfit’s Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO finished third in the Silver Cup at the legendary Circuit Paul Ricard. In a hard-fought 6 hour race, Lamborghini Juniors Tim Zimmermann and Kikko Galbiati and their team-mate Clemens Schmid moved up twelve positions and secured the first precious metal of the year in the 47 strong field.

FANS BACK IN THE STANDS FOR THE ADAC GT MASTERS AT THE RED BULL RING

“Servus Fans” is the motto for the second race in the German GT Championship from 11th to 13th June at the Red Bull Ring in Austria. Fans will be able to return to the circuit to enjoy the ADAC GT Masters race in Styria, featuring around 30 super sports cars. A maximum of 3,000 fans will be able to experience the races live in the stands on the second weekend of the season, in accordance with a hygiene and infection control plan put together by the Red Bull Ring and the ADAC GT Masters, which has been approved by the relevant authorities.

VICTORY AND CHAMPIONSHIP LEAD FOR AUDI IN NEW ZEALAND

In the North Island Endurance Series in New Zealand, there is tension in the title fight after the first success of the season by the IMS Racing customer team. Audi Sport customer racing’s other successes on the last weekend in May include a hard-fought second place by Team WRT in the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup as well as individual successes by the Audi R8 LMS GT4 and Audi RS 3 LMS.

OREGON TEAM COMPLETES LAMBORGHINI SUPER TROFEO EUROPE DOUBLE VICTORY AT PAUL RICARD

Kevin Gilardoni and Leonardo Pulcini survived a post-race time penalty to claim their second consecutive victory of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe weekend at Paul Ricard and move into the lead of the Pro standings. The duo, at the wheel of the #11 Oregon Team Huracán Super Trofeo Evo, started second on the grid with Pulcini overtaking the pole Leipert Motorsport car of Noah Watt at Turn 2 and maintaining the advantage either side of the pit-stop window to take the spoils.

GILARDONI AND PULCINI TAKE LAMBORGHINI SUPER TROFEO EUROPE VICTORY AT PAUL RICARD

Oregon Team’s Kevin Gilardoni and Leonardo Pulcini claimed their first Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe victory of the season, profiting from two penalties for on-the-road winners Jonathan Cecotto and Kevin Rossel (GSM Racing). Gilardoni and Pulcini started the race fourth on the grid but lost ground early on after contact at Turn 1 but stayed out of trouble and remained fast throughout to come out on top.

PORSCHE CUSTOMER TEAMS FIGHT FOR 13th OUTRIGHT VICTORY IN THE EIFEL

Porsche customer teams tackle the Nürburgring 24-hour race with a large contingent of 38 vehicles in ten different classes. The famed Eifel marathon has been contested since 1970 and is considered one of the world’s toughest motor racing challenges. No less than eight Porsche 911 GT3 R fielded by six squads take on the top SP9 class to fight for overall victory at the long-distance classic, which gets underway on 5 June at 3:30 pm (CEST). One lap of the racetrack consists of a 25.378-kilometre combination of the Nordschleife and Grand Prix circuit. The odds look good for a Porsche to clinch the 13th win at the Nürburgring. The customer team Frikadelli Racing has clearly underlined the huge potential of the 500+hp GT3 racer from Weissach with a one-two result at the qualification race. The squad from Barweiler, a village just a stone’s throw from the Nürburgring, campaigns two vehicles helmed by three works drivers from the Porsche squad as well as five other Nordschleife specialists.
