AUSTRALIAN GT TROPHY SERIES RACE WINNER LOOKS TO STEP UP IN 2019

Having developed into one of the leading contenders for the Australian GT Trophy Series in season 2018, Victoria’s Rio Nugara has revealed that he plans to make his full-time debut in the 2019 CAMS Australian GT Championship behind the wheel of a 2019 evolution of the second-generation Audi Sport R8 LMS GT3, carrying on his successful relationship with Audi Sport customer racing Australia.

PAUL MILLER RACING DEBUTS NEW CAR, LINEUP AND LIVERY AT ROAR BEFORE THE 24

Paul Miller Racing kicked off the 2019 season this week at Daytona International Speedway, participating in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship’s Roar Before the 24. The defending GTD class champions debuted the new 2019 Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO completing over 125 laps on the 3.56-mile circuit over the course of the two day series-wide test. Full-time drivers Bryan Sellers, Ryan Hardwick were joined by endurance additions Corey Lewis and Andrea Caldarelli.

FAST AND RELIABLE: PERFECT TEST FOR PORSCHE AT DAYTONA

The Porsche GT Team has wrapped up its preparations for the 2019 IMSA SportsCar Championship. On the occasion of the three-day official tests on the Daytona International Speedway in Florida, the two Porsche 911 RSR race cars covered a total of 2,120 kilometres under changeable conditions. The focus of this intensive work for the factory team was on improving the setup, on tyre comparisons as well as tests for the upcoming 24-hour race on the storied racetrack. The season-opening round of the North American sports car series takes place on 26/27 January.

SECOND CONSECUTIVE VICTORY FOR THE #4 ANSA MOTORSPORTS LIGIER JS P3 AT DAYTONA

4-5 January 2019, first race of the year, first round of the IMSA Prototype Challenge on Daytona International Speedway track, first pole position and first victory for Ligier. The #4 Ansa Motorsports Ligier JS P3 took the victory for the second year in a row. The #60 Wulver Racing Ligier JS P3 claimed third position. The other Ligier teams monopolised the rest of the top 9. Ligier is off to a flying start for the 50th anniversary of the make.
