FORMULA E PARIS: CHAMPIONSHIP MORE THRILLING THAN EVER

On Saturday (April 27), Paris marks the second stop on Formula E’s European tour. THAILAND SUPER SERIES ROUND TWO WIN AND CHAMPIONSHIP LEAD FOR HENK KIKS AND DANIEL BILSKI

B-Quik Racing’s Henk Kiks and Daniel Bilski have taken their 2019 Audi R8 LMS GT3 to a memorable overall victory in round two of Thailand Super Series. The win follows on from their third place finish in Saturday’s round one and catapults the pair into overall series lead. The team’s Audi R8 LMS ultra entry of Shaun Thong and Sandy Stuvik battled well all weekend to take podiums in both races. The FIA silver-graded pair now sit third in the overall championship.

SAINTELOC’S MICHAL AND GUILVERT GIVE AUDI GT4 SOUTH EUROPEAN SERIES DOUBLE POLE AT NOGARO

Saintéloc Racing’s Fabian Michal and Grégory Guilvert claimed the Pro Am Cup pole positions during yesterdays GT4 South European Series qualifying session at Circuit Paul Armagnac, while there were also Am Cup and GTC poles for Alex Van Straaten/Rémi Van Straaten (Alpine A110 GT4 / Mirage Racing) and Marmaduke Hall/Edward Moore (Ginetta G50 / Tockwith Motorsport).

This year’s Hankook 12H SPA produced one of the most sensational endings ever seen in the 24H SERIES powered by Hankook, with the Bohemia Energy racing with Scuderia Praha Ferrari 488 GT3 (#11, Jiří Písařík / Josef Kral / Matteo Malucelli) snatching victory from the Herberth Motorsport Porsche 991 GT3 R (#91, Daniel Allemann / Ralf Bohn / Robert Renauer) during the final three minutes of the 12-hour event.

SCUDERIA PRAHA HOLDS SLIM ADVANTAGE AFTER FOUR HOURS AT THE 12H SPA

The Bohemia Energy racing with Scuderia Praha Ferrari 488 GT3 (#11, Jiří Písařík / Josef Kral / Matteo Malucelli) currently leads the way after the first four hours of the Hankook 12H SPA, having completed 81 laps of the 7.004km Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps in the process. McLAREN AUTOMOTIVE CONFIRMS MULTI-YEAR DEAL WITH IMSA SPORTSCAR CHAMPIONSHIP

McLaren Automotive has confirmed a multi-year agreement with IMSA – the International Motor Sports Association – which will see customer teams racing as part of the US- and Canada-based IMSA WeatherTech Sprint Cup season in 2019, and McLaren officially entered as a manufacturer for the largest GT3 championship in the US market. This announcement comes as McLaren customer team Compass Racing unveils the striking new livery for its 2019 challenger, in the form of the McLaren 720S GT3 which will contest the newly-launched Sprint Cup championship this season.

SCUDERIA PRAHA TAKES 12H SPA POLE

The Bohemia Energy racing with Scuderia Praha Ferrari 488 GT3 (#11, Jiří Písařík / Josef Kral / Matteo Malucelli) has qualified on pole position for the 2019 Hankook 12H SPA. Matteo Malucelli lapped the 7.004km Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps in 2m 18.266s to collect the Czech team’s first 24H SERIES powered by Hankook pole position of the season.

STOFFEL VANDOORNE TO RACE WITH SMP RACING IN THE FIA WORLD ENDURANCE CHAMPIONSHIP

Stoffel Vandoorne will complete the SMP Racing line-up for the two upcoming races of the World Endurance Championship. The Belgian will drive the Russian BR1 №11 prototype alongside Vitaly Petrov and Mikhail Aleshin in Spa-Francorchamps and in the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans. Brendon Hartley who was earlier announced to race with SMP Racing at Spa has other commitments during the Le Mans race week and has agreed to give way to Stoffel in order to let him and the team be better prepared for the 24 hours race in June.

PORSCHE MOTORSPORT CONTINUES ITS FORMULA E PREPARATIONS IN SPAIN

Regular driver Neel Jani (Switzerland) and test and development driver Brendon Hartley (New Zealand) have spent the past three days completing an extensive test programme at Calafat (Spain), during which they covered a total distance of more than 1,000 kilometres with the Formula E car. More intensive tests are scheduled over the coming months for the Porsche Motorsport engineers and Formula E drivers. The goal is to be as well prepared as possible for the first race in Season 6 (2019/20) of the ABB FIA Formula E Championship.

PORSCHE GB JUNIOR HARPER TAKES EARLY CARRERA CUP GB LEAD INTO DONINGTON PARK

The 17th season of the Porsche Carrera Cup GB, the fastest single marque GT racing championship in the UK, got off to a flying start during its opening weekend at Brands Hatch. 18-year-old Porsche GB 2018 / 2019 Junior Dan Harper (JTR) established himself as the driver to beat in 2019, securing a commanding pole position for the season’s opening race in changeable conditions, before converting into into a lights to flag victory in similarly tricky conditions.
