CETILAR RACING COMPLETES AN ALMOST REGULAR FIA WEC RACE IN BAHRAIN

Cetilar Racing ended an almost regular 8 Hours of Bahrain as the FIA WEC Championship came this weekend at the turning point of the season. Roberto Lacorte, Giorgio Sernagiotto and Andrea Belicchi crossed the finish line for the fourth time in four races, showing the consistency of the AF Corse-powered #47 Dallara LMP2 car and as a result of the great job done by the team and drivers, despite the difficult condition due to the particular track and the high temperatures.

UNITED AUTOSPORTS “STANDS DOWN” ITS LIGIER JS P3 WITH ANOTHER LMP3 PODIUM

United Autosports brought down the curtain on an ultra-successful four-year campaign with Ligier’s first generation LMP3 sports-prototype with a second place finish in the Gulf 12 Hours yesterday (14 Dec). The British team contested the two, six-hour races with Richard Meins, Shaun Lynn and Jim McGuire piloting its Ligier JS P3 at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi. It marked the third time United had contested the annual race having won the “Gentlemen’s” category in 2017.

UNITED AUTOSPORTS SCORE EMPHATIC MAIDEN FIA WEC VICTORY

United Autosports claimed its most prestigious victory in its 10 year racing history when Phil Hanson, Filipe Albuquerque and Paul Di Resta spectacularly won the 8 Hours of Bahrain today (14 Dec). Contesting only its seventh race with the Oreca chassis and fourth as a full FIA World Endurance Championship entrant, the British team recorded its maiden WEC class victory in utter dominant style with a faultless performance. United had previously scored six European or Asian Le Mans Series LMP2 race wins plus 11 other podiums – last year’s Le Mans 24 Hours, Fuji and Shanghai WEC races and eight in the European or Asian Le Mans Series since its LMP2 category début in Europe in 2017. United now lie second in the LMP2 FIA World Endurance Team’s Trophy, three-points off the lead, with round five of the WEC being staged at the Circuit of The Americas in Texas on 23 February.

PORSCHE CUSTOMER TEAM PROJECT 1 CELEBRATES FIRST WIN OF THE FIA WEC SEASON

Porsche has concluded the 2019 year with another victory in the FIA World Endurance Championship. At the eight-hour race in Sakhir (Bahrain), the American Ben Keating and his two Dutchmen teammates Larry ten Voorde and Jeroen Bleekemolen won the GTE-Am class in their No. 57 Porsche 911 RSR. After claiming pole position, the Project 1 team has moved to the top of the overall classification thanks to their maiden victory. The Porsche GT Team (GTE-Pro) has enjoyed an outstandingly successful 2019 season, however the squad was struck by misfortune at the eight-hour race.

R-MOTORSPORT SET TO LINE UP WITH RICK KELLY, SCOTT DIXON AND JAKE DENNIS IN THE BATHURST 12 HOUR

The Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hours, the opening race of the Intercontinental GT Challenge, is traditionally one of the first highlights of the season on the international GT racing calendar. R Motorsport will field two cars during the next race weekend from January 31st to February 2nd, 2020. One of the two Aston Martin Vantage GT3s will feature a special design from Bathurst partner, Castrol. DTM and GT3 star Jake Dennis will share the cockpit with a pair of brilliant entrants to the team, Rick Kelly and Scott Dixon.

THE 2019 K-PAX RACING CAMPAIGN HIGHLIGHTED BY SECOND STRAIGHT TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP

Electricity was felt through the air as long-time series contender K-PAX Racing embarked on the 2019 Blancpain GT World Challenge America season with the all-new second-generation Bentley Continental GT3. In a season of unknowns – hosting the model’s maiden voyage through North America under a new series’ format – the team broke ground on new beginnings, as well as continued its success as back-to-back team champions.

PORSCHE SECURES DOUBLE POLE AT THE LAST RACE OF THE FIA WEC YEAR

Porsche has scored the perfect qualifying result for round four of the FIA World Endurance Championship in Sakhir (Bahrain). Gianmaria Bruni (Italy) and Richard Lietz (Austria) claimed pole position in the No. 91 Porsche 911 RSR. The reigning world champions Michael Christensen (Denmark) and Kévin Estre (France) take up the race in the ca. 515-hp sister car with the starting number 92 from the second grid spot. In the GTE-Am category, the No. 57 Porsche 911 RSR fielded by the Project 1 team tackles the eight-hour race on the Bahrain International Circuit from the best starting position.

CETILAR RACING HEADS TO BAHRAIN

Team Cetilar Racing is set for the sole 8-hour race of the FIA WEC Championship scheduled this weekend in Bahrain. At the Sakhir circuit Roberto Lacorte, Giorgio Sernagiotto and Andrea Belicchi make their comeback at the wheel of the AF Corse-powered #47 Dallara LMP2 car for the turning point of the 2019-2020 season heading to fourth out of eight rounds before the Lone Star Le Mans at Austin (Texas) on 22/23 February that repleces the Saõ Paulo race.

HEINRICHER RACING READY FOR 2020 IMSA WEATHERTECH GTD CAMPAIGN

Heinricher Racing, the only female-owned team in IMSA competition, is ready to kick off the 2020 season in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship alongside 2019 championship winner Meyer Shank Racing (MSR). Heinricher Racing will again field the No. 57 Acura NSX GT3, this year with full-season drivers Misha Goikhberg and Alvaro Parente. Trent Hindman will serve as endurance driver for the No. 57 Acura while AJ Allmendinger will return for the Rolex 24 At Daytona.
