WeatherTech Racing finished third in today’s running of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring at Sebring International Speedway.
Their team-mates Philipp Eng (AUT), Augusto Farfus (BRA) and Marco Wittmann (GER) were also fighting for a top result in their #24 car. However, the trio had to retire due to a technical issue.
The perfect start to the season for ROWE Racing: BMW M works drivers Dries Vanthoor and Maxime Martin (both BEL) won the opening race of the Nürburgring Endurance Series in the #99 BMW M4 GT3. After four hours of exciting racing, Vanthoor took the chequered flag with a lead of 6.5 seconds.
The opening round of the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) took place in sunny Florida this afternoon. Thanks to a clean performance, solid strategy and competitive driving, the newly-formed Porsche Penske Motorsport team finished the 1000 Miles of Sebring in fifth and sixth in their debut WEC race.
The Ferrari 499P made its debut in the FIA World Endurance Championship finishing in third place in the 1000 Miles of Sebring. Car number 50 driven to the finish line by Antonio Fuoco secured third, and finishing seventh with the other Hypercar which arrived at the checkered flag with Alessandro Pier Guidi behind the wheel.

Meyer Shank Racing (MSR) will start fifth for Saturday’s 71st running of the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring, with a late red flag preventing MSR driver Tom Blomqvist from an attempt at a second-consecutive IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship pole position.
The No. 6 Porsche 963 fielded by the Porsche Penske Motorsport works team takes on the second round of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship from position four on the grid. Frenchman Mathieu Jaminet turned a lap time of 1:46,426 minutes in qualifying for the 12 Hours of Sebring. His teammate Matt Campbell, however, had bad luck: In his No. 7 car, the Australian slid into the tyre wall in Turn 1, bringing his hunt for top times in Florida to an abrupt halt. Klaus Bachler experienced the same fate in the No. 7 Porsche 911 GT3 R of Pfaff Motorsports in the qualifying sessions of both GTD classes.
Audi Sport customer racing will be taking part in the 2023 Nürburgring 24 Hours with the experience of three Audi Sport Teams – Car Collection, Land and Scherer PHX – to fight for its seventh overall victory. Twelve Audi Sport drivers will be supporting the Audi Sport Teams, as well as the additional private GT3 entries from customers that are strengthening the line-up. The 51st edition of the race will take place from May 18–21, 2023.

Team principal Christoph Huber is looking forward to the ADAC GT Masters. Together with his team Huber Racing, he will add to his motorsport portfolio by fielding a brand-new Porsche 911 GT3 R in the ADAC GT Masters.
The 2023 DTM season is slowly casting its shadow for GRT after an intensive preparation phase. In addition to their involvement in the GT World Challenge Europe, the Lamborghini team from Austria is once again taking on the battle in the most prestigious of all GT3 series. After the successful debut season in 2022, the outfit supported by Lamborghini Squadra Corse is fielding two new Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2 this year. With Clemens Schmid in the number 63 car, team boss Gottfried Grasser’s squad is relying on continuity. Having experienced a baptism of fire at the 24 Hours of Daytona (USA) in January, the BMW M Hybrid V8, BMW M Motorsport’s new prototype, is now set for its second race outing. The 12 Hours of Sebring (USA) is round two of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship 2023 (IMSA series). BMW M Team RLL will once again run the two BMW M Hybrid V8s, car numbers 24 and 25 in the new GTP class for hybrid LMDh cars.

Porsche Penske Motorsport faces a busy schedule in Sebring on the third weekend in March. The works team heads to the US state of Florida fielding two Porsche 963 in the season-opening round of the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) and another two in the second round of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. The new ca. 500 kW (680 PS) hybrid prototypes from Weissach will contest the 1,000-mile FIA WEC race on Friday, 17 March. This is the first time they face their Hypercar rivals from Ferrari, Peugeot and Toyota, among others. The tradition-steeped IMSA race over twelve hours takes off the following day. In the GTE-Am (WEC), GTD-Pro and GTD (both IMSA) vehicle classes, Porsche customer teams campaign a fleet of 911 RSR and 911 GT3 R.
This weekend, Sebring, Florida becomes a hotbed of racing action as the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship resumes the 2023 championship with the Twelve Hours of Sebring. Entering the second round in the full-season championship, the drivers and crew of the No. 16 Wright Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 R are ready and eager to return to the top step, after celebrating a win in 2020, and finishing second in 2021.
