GRT GRASSER RACING TEAM’S EFFORTS GO UNREWARDED IN THE FINAL OF THE 2020 ADAC GT MASTERS AT OSCHERSLEBEN

The grand finale of the 2020 ADAC GT Masters last weekend did not have the triumphant ending that GRT Grasser Racing had been hoping for. For the last stop on the itinerary of this year’s Super Sports Car League, the team travelled to Oschersleben near Magdeburg. But the Austrian outfit was once again out of luck. Despite strong pace, the three Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVOs were unable to muster a single top result between them from two problematic races. Tim Zimmermann’s title win in the Junior classification shone the only ray of light on a frustrating weekend.

BWT MUCKE MOTORSPORT CELEBRATE SUCCESSFUL END TO THE ADAC GT MASTERS SEASON

Saving the best until last is how BWT Mücke Motorsport would probably sum up the final weekend of the 2020 ADAC GT Masters season. Stefan Mücke and Ricardo Feller achieved their best result of the season in the BWT Audi R8 LMS #26 at the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben. They finished in the Top Ten twice and were the third-best Audi crew both times. Feller was on the top step of the podium on Saturday as the winner of the Junior classification. The only downside to their weekend was the fact that the BWT Audi R8 LMS #25 with Igor Walilko and Mike David Ortmann was still out of contention, because Walilko’s injury had not healed in time.

Porsche has a clear goal for the final round of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship in Sebring (USA) on 14 November: The North American operations team Core Autosport is eager to wrap up the season with another victory on the Florida racetrack. The works campaign with the two Porsche 911 RSR in the GTLM class comes to an end after seven very successful years. As a special treat for the many fans and loyal partners in North America, Porsche sends the two works cars to contest the race on the Sebring International Raceway decked out in striking designs. The special livery of the two 911 RSR will be unveiled on Tuesday before the race. The driver line-up for the season finale is also new: The Swiss works driver Neel Jani supports the regular IMSA drivers at the event in Florida. The traditional twelve-hour event on the former airfield close to the city of Orlando was originally planned for mid-March but had to be postponed by eight months due to the coronavirus pandemic.
