Cadillac Racing teams are busy preparing for the 2019 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season and the Rolex 24 At Daytona season opening race.

Lisbon-based promoter Race Ready will partner with SRO Motorsports Group in 2019 to launch the GT4 South European Series, a new continental championship that will place particular emphasis on the Portuguese and Spanish markets.

Century’s return to the senior ranks will be made alongside a GT4 programme that is again expected to feature two BMW M4 GT4s.

The Nissan e.dams team is set to kick off its electric street racing challenge when the ABB FIA Formula E championship begins its fifth season of competition this week.

Season Five of the ABB FIA Formula E Championship is all set to commence this Saturday on 15 December. Fans across the world will see 22 new Gen2 cars, new tracks, new rules and new drivers added to the championship.

Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi hosts the spectacular end-of-year Gulf 12 Hours this coming Saturday, 15th December, where Oman’s premier racing driver Ahmad Al Harthy is aiming to end 2018 on a real high.

As 2018 draws to a close, SRO Motorsports Group continues to finalise plans for an exciting 2019 racing season that will see events staged on five continents.

Two Spaniard will contest the classic Middle East endurance race, which brings the curtain down on the 2018 season, with a new Car Collection Motorsport-entered Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo. Tutumlu will share the driving duties with Schmidt and Parhoffer, as Çapan will be absent as a result of physical problems.

The final rounds of 2019’s Blancpain GT World Challenge Asia and GT4 Asia campaigns at Shanghai have been moved back by one week to September 27/28.

Cooper MacNeil (Hinsdale, Ill.) and Toni Vilander (Finland) will partner in the No. 63 WeatherTech Racing Ferrari 488 GT3 for the 2019 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.

Jaguar will make history this weekend with the debut of the Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY, the world’s first international championship for production-based electric cars. It will be the first time women compete against men in a race in Saudi Arabia, and Katherine Legge, Célia Martin and Alice Powell will be amongst the first women to take part in a motor race in the Kingdom.

Next Saturday, the Ad Diriyah E-Prix (KSA) kicks off the fifth season of the ABB FIA Formula E Championship. It also marks the first race appearance for the BMW i Andretti Motorsport team and the BMW iFE.18 race car with its BMW i powertrain. Two BMW works drivers, Alexander Sims (GBR) and António Félix da Costa (POR), will be the drivers. Sims is set to contest his first Formula E season, while Félix da Costa will enter his fifth year in the first race series for fully-electric single-seater cars. Once again in Season 5 BMW i, as “Official Vehicle Partner” of Formula E, will provide the safety car fleet for all races.

A new season for IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship begins in January and Paul Miller Racing, the reigning GTD class champions, will return to the series in 2019 to defend their title. Champion Bryan Sellers will return for his fourth year with the team, to be joined by 2018 Lamborghini Super Trofeo North American and World Champion Ryan Hardwick. Corey Lewis, also a 2018 Lamborghini Super Trofeo North American Champion, will reprise his role at the team as an endurance driver in the Michelin Endurance Cup.

McLaren Automotive has confirmed a stellar driver line-up for the competitive debut of the 720S GT3 in the Gulf 12 Hours at Abu Dhabi on December 13-15. Lining up on the grid will be McLaren Automotive Factory Driver Ben Barnicoat (GB), joined by Alvaro Parente (PT) and Shane van Gisbergen (NZ).
