Ahead of its fourth season in European Le Mans Series with two cars entered in LMP2 category, the French team has just signed Konstantin Tereschenko as his second driver on the Ligier JS P217 #24. The 24-year-old Russian is joining Timothé Buret awaiting the announcement of the third and last driver of the crew.

[Week 2] Winter testing Day 1 results

The R-Motorsport calendar is starting to look exceptionally busy. In addition to the challenge of the DTM, the racing team from Niederwil in eastern Switzerland has a comprehensive programme of GT racing to prepare for. Following their successful debut season in the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup, R-Motorsport will once again compete in one of the world’s toughest GT racing series. This year, the Swiss outfit will contest the entire Blancpain GT Series, including the Blancpain GT World Challenge Europe sprint championship alongside the Endurance Cup for the first time. They will be fielding two Aston Martin Vantage V8 GT3s in each of the two championships. And for the standout fixture of the season, the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, they will be sending a third car into the fray.

After winning the Pirelli World Challenge SprintX Pro/Am title in 2018, 18 year-old champion Parker Chase is returning to the series this week for the season opening event at Circuit of The Americas with RENNtech Motorsports. The season will kick off with a double header race event at the Austin circuit, where Chase, a Texas native, will share the driving duties of the No. 89 Mercedes-AMG GT4 with Reinhold Renger in Pirelli GT4 America‘s East Pro/Am class.

The racing shoes of the retiring Christian Fittipaldi are large ones to step in to, but Mustang Sampling Racing has secured an outstanding addition for the driver line up in the 2019 Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring as Brendon Hartley has been confirmed with the team.

2019 is going to be a busy year for Jody Fannin as he expands his programme to include the China GT Championship with FIST – Team AAI and their BMW M6 GT3. He will share the car with Betty Chen in her debut season.

Aston Martin has announced that leading GT squad Garage 59 will join its burgeoning partner team ranks for 2019, significantly bolstering the presence of the new Aston Martin Vantage GT3 in the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup.

Spaniard Pujeu completed the GT Open Open’s Winter Series at the Circuit Paul Ricard driving the brand-new Teo Martín Motorsport-run McLaren 570S GT4. Pujeu clocked extremely competitive lap times on day two.

Bentley Motorsport has revealed an impressive driver line-up for this year’s Total 24 Hours of Spa (25-28 July), where the British marque will add a further two cars to its regular roster as it chases the biggest prize in GT3 racing.

The Target Racing team clinched the win in Race 1 at the Yas Marina circuit, staking its bid for the title in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Middle East 2019. After a triple win in Dubai, Timur Boguslavskiy and Frederik Schandorff dominated Friday’s racing in Abu Dhabi, taking the pole in qualifying and winning the first heat of the weekend.

Timur Boguslavskiy and Frederik Schandorff have been crowned champions of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Middle East, now in its third edition. After dominating the Dubai round, the crew of the Huracán Super Trofeo Evo no. 9 were untouchable at Abu Dhabi too, clinching the title for Target Racing on the team’s maiden season in the Middle East one-make series. Konrad Motorsport celebrated two title crowns: Axcil Jefferies and Ramez Azzam were victorious in the Pro-Am in car no. 29 while Vincent Schwartz secured the Am title behind the wheel of car no. 11. The Lamborghini Cup saw Gabriele Murroni take top honours with the Huracán Super Trofeo Evo no. 88, crowning his second season in the Super Trofeo Middle East.
