HEINRICHER RACING HEADS TO WATKINS GLEN FOR THE SAHLEN’S SIX HOUR

The third endurance classic of the 2019 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season gets underway this Sunday, June 30th with the Sahlen’s Six Hours of Watkins Glen. Heinricher Racing with Meyer Shank Racing will return with the No. 57 Caterpillar Acura NSX GT3 driven by Katherine Legge, Christina Nielsen and Bia Figueiredo.

BMW TEAM RLL READY TO GET BACK ON WINNING TRACK AT WATKINS GLEN

The 2019 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season resumes following the traditional Le Mans break with BMW Team RLL ready to compete in this weekend’s Sahlen’s Six Hours Of The Glen, at Watkins Glen International. The 2019 Rolex 24 At Daytona winners have been unable to reach the GTLM class podium in subsequent rounds at Sebring, Long Beach and Mid-Ohio, but feel confident of a stronger performance at The Glen following a Balance of Performance change that will see a nominal power increase for the BMW M8 GTE.

MUSTANG SAMPLING RACING HEADS TO WATKINS GLEN

Mustang Sampling Racing will be looking to resume its winning ways then it returns to the friendly confines of Watkins Glen International for Sunday’s Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen, the sixth of 10 races on the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship schedule.

DOUBLE FERRARI CHALLENGE UK WIN FOR JASON BAKER AT SNETTERTON

Snetterton was the venue for the second round of the new Ferrari Challenge UK 2019 series, in which 20 Ferrari clients competed in Race 3 and Race 4 of the 8 race championship. Jason Baker (Dick Lovett Swindon) had another stellar weekend in the Trofeo Pirelli category, taking two Pole Positions and two Race Wins on Saturday and Sunday, ahead of Jamie Clarke (Stratstone Manchester) who once again pushed Jason right to the chequered flag in a repeat of the season opener at Brands Hatch. This means Jason Baker extends his lead in the Championship, with four wins from four races.

AUDI SPORT WINS 24 HOURS OF NURBURGRING FOR THE FIFTH TIME

The 47th running of the 24 Hours of Nürburgring was a thriller up until the last second: Following a turbulent final stage, the number 4 Audi R8 LMS won the battle with last year’s winning team from Porsche with a one-lap advantage. For Audi Sport Team Phoenix based at the Nürburgring, this marked the third victory with Audi and the fifth in the team’s 20-year history.

PORSCHE SECURES SECOND AND PRO-AM CLASS WIN AT THE NURBURGRING 24-HOUR MARATHON

Porsche narrowly missed out on claiming its 13th overall victory after an almost flawless performance. The latest generation of the Porsche 911 GT3 R with the starting number 911 fielded by Manthey-Racing had held the lead for 105 of the 157 laps and ultimately had to settle for second place. Three hours before the end of the race, the nine-eleven lost the top spot after receiving a time penalty and was unable to make up lost ground despite setting the fastest pace in the field.

HUBAUTO CORSA NARROWLY MISSES BLANCPAIN GT WORLD CHALLENGE ASIA SUCCESS AT SUZUKA

An intense yet spectacular race concluded the third round of the Blancpain GT World Challenge Asia, held on the Suzuka circuit in Japan. The two Ferrari crews were in the thick of the action, particularly HubAuto Corsa’s 488 GT3 which came close to overall victory.

FALKEN MOTORSPORTS FINISHES SIXTH AT THE NURBURGRING 24 HOURS, DISAPPOINTMENT FOR OTHER BMW M6 GT3 TEAMS

The #33 FALKEN Motorsports BMW M6 GT3 was the best-placed BMW in an eventful 24-hour race at the Nürburgring (GER). Jens Klingmann (GER), Peter Dumbreck (GBR), Alexandre Imperatori (SUI) and Stef Dusseldorp (NED) finished sixth overall. Victory went to the #4 Audi.

BACK-TO-BACK BLANCPAIN GT WORLD CHALLENGE ASIA PODIUMS FOR AUDI R8 LMS GT4

Anderson Tanoto and Mark Williamson rounded off an eye-catching Blancpain GT World Challenge Asia debut for the Audi R8 LMS GT4 by claiming their second podium of the weekend in round six of the championship. Tanoto put in a strong stint at the famously unforgiving Suzuka Circuit in Japan to be running third in class, with Absolute Racing teammate Williamson advancing one place further to finish second in the GT4 class amongst a strong line-up of series regulars..

Nissan e.dams Swiss racer Sebastien Buemi scored a podium on home soil today in the ABB FIA Formula E championship by finishing third on the streets of Bern.

PODIUM AND DOUBLE-POINTS FOR JAGUAR RACING IN SWISS E-PRIX

Panasonic Jaguar Racing driver Mitch Evans finished second in the Swiss E-Prix in Bern to achieve his second ABB FIA Formula E podium. The Kiwi fought a race-long battle with Jean-Eric Verge and a last-minute rain shower to power him to fourth in the driver standings. Mathematically he still has a chance to win the Formula E title at the season five finale in New York next month.
