WHO WILL BE THE THE BEST ADAC GT MASTERS JUNIOR OF 2019?

The ADAC GT Masters is looking to crown its super talent of 2019. Who will win the Pirelli Junior classification? The winner will receive 22 sets of slicks from tyre partner, Pirelli, but victory in the Junior stakes has also proved to be a stepping-stone to a works contract in recent times. The Junior champions from the past three years, Connor De Phillippi, Jules Gounon and Sheldon van der Linde, have all been signed by manufacturers following success in the ADAC GT Masters. Nine drivers will still be fighting to see who can win the Junior title In this weekend’s Sachsenring finale. The front-runner is also the youngest in the field – Audi driver, Ricardo Feller (19, CH, Montaplast by Land Motorsport).

24H SERIES PRESENTS 2020 CALENDAR

Four current Formula 1-circuits, one former Grand Prix circuit, an exciting new addition with a lot of prestige and another highly popular venue: these are the ingredients of the spectacular calendar of the 24H SERIES powered by Hankook for 2020. While the series keeps its successful events at Dubai Autodrome, Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya and the Circuit of The Americas in Austin, Texas, rounds at two world-famous tracks have been added: Italy’s Autodromo Nazionale Monza and the legendary Nürburgring in Germany will both be hosting their inaugural 24H SERIES rounds next year. The final new addition is the Anneau du Rhin in the French Alsace region, the former test circuit of the famous Bugatti brand. Again, there will be two separate championships, both powered by Hankook: the 24H SERIES Europe and the 24H SERIES Continents.

LAST LAP TRAFFIC DRAMA AT SPA COSTS NIELSEN RACING FIRST ELMS VICTORY

After four hours of wheel to wheel combat, it came down to the very last lap of the penultimate round of the European Le Mans Series at Spa Francorchamps. Leading with a margin of two seconds across the line with a lap to run, Tony Wells found himself at the mercy of lapped traffic mid-lap and with it lost momentum was powerless to defend his position.

Five competitions, eleven races and 14 title outcomes still to be decided – the grand finale of the ADAC GT Masters and its four support series at the Sachsenring (27 to 29 September) promises to be a pulsating affair. In the ADAC GT Masters itself, the drivers’ championship was already wrapped up at the previous event. The two races in Saxony will now settle the matter of which is the best team and who is the top Junior contestant in the ADAC GT Masters. The new drivers’ champions Patric Niederhauser (27, CH) and Kelvin van der Linde (23, ZA, both HCB-Rutronik Racing) will not be basking in the glory just yet, as their Audi outfit is still battling for the team crown. The Pirelli Junior class is also still being fiercely contested between eleven drivers, and no wonder: for the Junior champions in the past three years, this particular title has been the springboard to a works contract.
