Despite this is its fourth 24 Hours of Le Mans, team Cetilar Racing is thrilled to enter one more time the legendary race. The only all-Italian squad in the Sport category – team, drivers and car – marks its fourth consecutive participation since 2017, when it made its debut with Roberto Lacorte, Giorgio Sernagiotto and Andrea Belicchi ninth overall over 60 cars and seventh of their class in the #47 Dallara LMP2.

As the 2020 season moves closer to its conclusion, the GT4 Americas championship returns to Circuit of the Americas this weekend for the second to last event of the year. Flying Lizard Motorsports will compete in four of the five rounds with its pair of Aston Martin Martin Vantage GT4s, driven by Michael Dinan and Robby Foley in Sprint and SprintX, and a McLaren 570S GT4 driven by Erin Vogel and Michael Cooper in SprintX.

Just a few days separated GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS departing the Nürburgring and arriving at Magny-Cours. September is a busy month for the championship, with the dash from Germany to France highlighting the speed with which the 2020 season is progressing.

With a high-class driver line-up, Mercedes-AMG Motorsport will be taking on this year’s 24-hour race at the Nürburgring (24th-27th September). Preparation at the Nordschleife was promising from the perspective of the performance and sports car brand from Affalterbach: five rounds of the Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS) resulted into a pair of overall wins and four additional podium results – expectations for the marathon event at the legendary circuit in the Eifel are accordingly high. In total, there will be seven Mercedes-AMG GT3s on the grid for the 48th running of the classic race, four of them competing as Performance Teams with extended works support. One Mercedes-AMG GT4 rounds out the strong Mercedes-AMG Motorsport contingent.

For fans of endurance racing, next weekend cannot come quickly enough: at 2.30 pm on Saturday, 19 September 2020, the starting flag for the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the largest and most tradition-rich motorsports event in the world, will be raised. Porsche is the most successful brand in the almost 100-year history of Le Mans. The sports car manufacturer from Zuffenhausen has had close ties to the 24 Hours of Le Mans for more than six decades, a period which has seen a total of 19 overall victories, countless class successes and indescribable emotions.

GT World Challenge Asia Powered by AWS will not take place in 2020. Instead, SRO Motorsports Group is now fully focused on finalising next season’s six-round schedule.

COOL Racing heads to Circuit de la Sarthe for its first 24 Hours of Le Mans this weekend, as well as the penultimate round of a successful maiden World Endurance Championship campaign for the Swiss team, which has included a debut win at the 4 Hours of Silverstone and a second-place finish at the 6 Hours of Spa driving the Oreca 07-Gibson.

A highly successful weekend at the French track saw Sky Tempesta Racing secure first and second places in the Pro-Am Cup in both races, elevating the team to the top of both the GT World Challenge Pro-Am Teams and Drivers’ Championships..

On September 19th and 20th, Porsche will take on the challenge of the Le Mans endurance classic with vehicles finished in special designs. The two 911 RSR fielded by the Porsche GT Team tackle the hotly contested GTE-Pro class featuring red-white and black-white liveries – to commemorate the first of 19 overall victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans 50 years ago. With crisp lines and shapes, the special colours of the foil wrapping resemble the digital RSR that successfully contested the virtual Le Mans race on 13-14 June. The two 515 hp factory cars will carry the lettering “1970” on the front lid and the roof. In that year, Britain’s Richard Attwood and Hans Herrmann from Germany clinched the first overall victory at Le Mans for the sports car manufacturer from Stuttgart at the wheel of the legendary Porsche 917. On that occasion, the vehicle fielded by Porsche KG Salzburg flew the national colours of Austria. The No. 91 Porsche 911 RSR will race with the very same red-and-white paintwork. On the No. 92 sister car, black replaces the red. Of the ten 911 racing cars to line up on the grid, eight 911 RSR are campaigned by customer teams in the GTE-Am class.

Back in competition to support the development and launch of the Alpine A110, Alpine has lived up to its rich heritage in excelling everywhere it has competed since its return to endurance.

Henrique Chaves scored a win and a fourth place in the Red Bull Ring’s round of the International GT Open and left the Austrian circuit with a bigger lead in the Drivers’ Standings.

Alexander Moiseev and Alexey Nesov claimed their first Am class victory at the Red Bull Ring. In the third out of six International GT Open rounds, the Antonelli Motorsport pair continued their positive momentum, following three second consecutive places took at the Paul Ricard and in Race 1 at the Austrian track.

With thrilling battles, good overtaking opportunities and very close gaps between cars, the ADAC GT Masters is set to line up for the third race meeting of the year this weekend (18th-20th September) at the Hockenheimring, a circuit that is well-known for producing plenty of exciting race action. 32 super sports cars will be hunting down championship leaders Luca Stolz (25, GER) and Maro Engel (34, Monte Carlo, both Toksport WRT) in the Mercedes AMG GT3 Evo.

Aston Martin Racing heads into the 88th running of the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans aiming to take its third class victory with Vantage, and secure the 2019/2020 World Endurance Championship. For the first time at the Circuit de la Sarthe, both classes will race with the current turbo-charged 4-litre V8 Vantage GTE, with three works team entries and one customer car firmly setting sights on its maiden Le Mans win.

French duo Simon Gachet and Steven Palette scored a sensational Sprint Cup win at Magny-Cours to give Sainteloc Racing an emotional victory on home turf.

The FUJIMAKI GROUP MOTEGI GT 300km RACE, Round 4 of the 2020 AUTOBACS SUPER GT series was held on September 13 (Sun) at Twin Rings Motegi (one lap 4,801m x 63 laps) in Tochigi Pref. In the GT500 class, the No.17 KEIHIN NSX-GT (Koudai Tsukakoshi/Bertrand Baguette) took its second runaway win of the season just as it did in Round 2 at Fuji Speedway. In the GT300 class, the No. 65 LEON PYRAMID AMG (Naoya Gamou/Togo Suganami) came back from a 13th grid start to take the win.

Luca Stolz and Maro Engel lit up Magny-Cours tonight with a commanding Sprint Cup victory in the #4 HRT Mercedes-AMG.

United Autosports are preparing for the 2020 Le Mans 24 Hours next weekend as the race goes ahead, behind closed doors, three months later than originally planned (19-20 September).

WeatherTech Racing has completed the rollout of the team’s Ferrari 488 Evo GTE Pro entry for the 24 Hours of Le Mans to run at the Circuit de la Sarthe, in Le Mans, France, September 19-20.
