With one week remaining until the opening round of this season’s ADAC GT Masters, Callaway Competition has announced its driver line-up: Marvin Kirchhöfer (27/Leipzig) and Switzerland’s Jeffrey Schmidt (27) will share the driving duties in the Corvette C7 GT3-R run by the team from Baden-Württemberg. The new pairing will make its debut together next week (14th to 16th May), when Oschersleben hosts the opening round of the German GT Championship.

United Autosports are delighted to confirm that Niklas Kruetten will join their LMP3 team for the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship at Watkins Glen and Petit Le Mans.

Marco Polo Motorsports put up a fight this weekend in GT4 America championship rounds three and four at Circuit of the Americas. Though the No. 71 KTM X-Bow and drivers Nicolai Elghanayan and Mads Siljehaug had a damp start; they were able to earn some good championship points on Sunday.

The Lamborghini Super Trofeo is a reference point in the global panorama of one-make championships, divided into three different continental series: North America, Asia and Europe, which each year, at the end of the season, compete in the Lamborghini World Final. Taylor Hagler completed the Fanatec GT World Challenge America powered by AWS weekend at Circuit of the Americas and raced to a sixth place finish before suffering a DNF in the second race of the double header weekend. 

The Takanokono Hotel FUJI GT 500km RACE, round 2 of the 2021 AUTOBACS SUPER GT series was held on the afternoon of May 4th (Tues., holiday) at Fuji Speedway (one lap 4,563m × 110 laps). In the GT500 class, the No. 17 Astemo NSX-GT (Koudai Tsukakoshi/Bertrand Baguette) took the lead with a well-timed pit stop and held off the pursuers in the second half to take the win. In the GT300 class, the No. 60 SYNTIUM LMcorsa GR Supra GT (Hiroki Yoshimoto/Shunsuke Kohno) took the win.

Lamborghini remains unbeaten in the 2021 Fanatec GT World Challenge America powered by AWS season following another double victory for K-PAX Racing at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas. Lamborghini Factory Driver Andrea Caldarelli and team-mate Jordan Pepper claimed the third consecutive victory for the #3 car in a rain-affected opener, while fellow Factory Driver Giovanni Venturini and Corey Lewis took the sister #6 car to its first win of the year in Race 2 following a last-lap pass on Pepper.

BMW Junior Team ace Daniel Harper endured a frustrating day of action in the third event of the 2021 Nürburgring Endurance Series on Saturday (1st May), with an early incident derailing his challenge in the race.

Alessio Rovera marked his FIA WEC debut taking a brilliant victory in LMGTE Am class at the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps on Ferrari 488 Evo GTE. The 25-year-old Italian driver shared the #83 AF Corse car and all the first round of the 2021 World Endurance Championship together with teammates François Perrodo from France and Nicklas Nielsen from Denmark.

Cetilar Racing made its category debut claiming its first ever podium in the FIA WEC Championship. Roberto Lacorte, Giorgio Sernagiotto and Antonio Fuoco secured the LMGTE Am third position in the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, first of the 2021 calendar, after completing a perfect race in the Ferrari 488 GTE EVO car run by AF Corse. This result is a milestone for Cetilar Racing, competing for the second season in the FIA WEC after a year in the LMP2. 

TOYOTA GAZOO Racing began the Hypercar era in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) with a landmark victory in the Total 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps following an exciting start to the 2021 season in Belgium.

Preparations by Mercedes-AMG Motorsport for the ADAC Total 24h Race are in full swing. In the final round of the Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS) prior to the season highlight at the Nordschleife, the AMG Customer Racing Teams were able to rack up further valuable test mileage. The best-placed Mercedes-AMG GT3 in the GT3 field, particularly strong with 33 cars, was the #16 Mercedes-AMG Team HRT entry in tenth place overall. In the SP9 Am class, Moritz Kranz (GER) and Janine Shoffner (GBR) managed to repeat their victory from the second NLS round with the #9 GetSpeed Performance Mercedes-AMG GT3. The effort by BLACK FALCON Team TEXTAR was also successful with the second 1-2 of the 2021 season in the combined classes SP4T+SP8T. With third place in the SP10 category, the #162 GT4 of the Schnitzelalm Racing customer team also scored a class podium finish.

The Aston Martin Vantage GTE entered by TF Sport took a hard-earned second place in the first round of the 2021 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) GTE AM class on Saturday.

Porsche has won the opening round of the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) at Spa-Francorchamps. Works driver Kévin Estre from France and Neel Jani from Switzerland drove a commanding race in the No. 92 Porsche 911 RSR to claim victory in the hotly contested GTE-Pro class. For Estre, who had already dazzled at Friday’s qualifying with a record lap, this marks the second win in a row at the six-hour race in Belgium. Jani triumphed at his first outing with the Porsche GT Team. The sister car driven by their brand colleagues Richard Lietz (Austria) and Gianmaria Bruni (Italy) crossed the finish line in fifth place after a difficult race.
