Pipo Derani drove the Whelen Engineering Cadillac DPi-V.R to pole position for tomorrow’s 69th running of the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring presented by Advance Auto Parts to run at Sebring International Raceway.

Following last year’s first event at the Lausitzring and a date at Portimão, Audi Sport customer racing organized a joint test with customer teams for the third time. On the Vallelunga circuit north of Rome, up to 13 race cars with the four rings were on the road for three days. The test days served to prepare for the European season after teams in America, Asia and Australia have already clinched their first trophies since January.

The new ADAC GT Masters season kicks off from 14th to 16th May at Motorsport Arena Oschersleben.

After a disappointing result at the Rolex 24 at Daytona, the #52 Oreca 07 LMP2 will be at full speed in Sebring for the 69th Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring, with drivers Ben Keating, Mikkel Jensen and Scott Huffaker. After starting from the pole at the Rolex 24 in January, a series of mechanical issues and repairs from contact the team finally had to abandon the race 40 minutes before the checkered flag.

Intercontinental GT Challenge Powered by Pirelli will visit the Middle East for the first time later this year following confirmation that the Suzuka 10 Hours cannot take place as originally scheduled on August 20-22.

Niklas Krütten and Matt Bell will join Nicolas Maulini at COOL Racing for the 2021 European Le Mans Series. The trio will race together in the team’s new Ligier JS P320 LMP3 entry, spanning six rounds on Europe’s most famous circuits.

Kyle Tilley, Dwight Merriman, and Ryan Dalziel are back in the No. 18 Oreca LMP2 sports car for the twelve-hour endurance event, the second round in the 2021 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.

Performance Tech Motorsports continues its Sebring International Raceway expedition by preparing for the Twelve Hours of Sebring.

The Sebring International Raceway has been a successful venue for BMW Team RLL. From 2010 through the 2020 season the team has totaled two victories, four second and three third place finishes at the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship 12 Hours of Sebring. Last year, with the race’s traditional March date delayed until November because of the Covid-19 pandemic, BMW Team RLL came within minutes of adding a third GTLM class victory before being punted out of the lead by an over-anxious GTD class competitor running into the rear of the No. 25 BMW M8 GTE with some 10 minutes remaining in the race. Only four months later, BMW Team RLL is ready for redemption.

The “Mamba” will be looking to strike again this season: Mann-Filter Team Landgraf – HTP WWR lines up with a Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo in the ADAC GT Masters again in 2021. The car with the striking, luminous-yellow snake-like livery will be driven in the German GT Championship by Mercedes-AMG drivers Maximilian Buhk (28/Hamburg) and Raffaele Marciello (26/I).
