CORVETTE RACING WINS THIRD STRAIGHT MOBIL 1 TWELVE HOURS OF SEBRING

There’s something about the two-car Corvette Racing C7.R team – when one car has a big problem, the other car seems to step up and win the race. It happened last year at the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring Fueled by Fresh From Florida: The No. 3 Corvette crashed, ending up 41st overall in the 48-car field. But the No. 4 team car took the GT Le Mans (GTLM) class win.

Six hours down, six hours to go in the 65th Annual Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring Fueled by Fresh From Florida, and we’ve already seen some of the favorites fall by the wayside.

Up front in the four classes: The familiar No. 5 Action Express Mustang Sampling Cadillac DPi V.R currently driven by veteran Joao Barbosa leads the No. 10 Wayne Taylor Racing Konica Minolta Cadillac DPi V.R, driven by Ricky Taylor, by two seconds.

Alex Job Racing’s Landy finishes fourth in second IMSA Porsche GT3 Cup race at Sebring

This afternoon, Landy started seventh in the second Porsche GT3 Cup race. He got off to a good start and continued to put down consistent laps that put him in the top five about half way into the 45-minute race. From there, he put constant pressure on the cars in front of him as he was knocking on the door of his first GT3 Platinum cup podium finish of the season. Unfortunately, he simply ran out of time.

Among the twenty-one GTDs, six of them are Huracán GT3s, therefore Lamborghini proves again the manufacturer with the largest number of cars fielded by customer teams in this category.

Rebellion Racing ORECA LM P2 Posts Record Time in Twelve Hours of Sebring Qualifying

When the Prototype cars arrived in Sebring, it appeared Cadillac would dominate again after posting the fastest lap in three of the four pre-qualifying practice sessions. However, Cadillac didn’t capture the pole for tomorrow’s 65th Annual Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring Fueled by Fresh From Florida. The qualifying session on Friday afternoon saw record-breaking speeds in three of the four WeatherTech Championship classes, including Prototype, with the fastest lap of 1 minute, 48.178 seconds, set by Neel Jani, driving the No. 13 Rebellion Racing Gibson-powered ORECA P2.
