PSL Karting opens the Florida Winter Tour Rotax rounds with a stellar performance from its talented lineup of drivers.
Coming off the ROK weekends with confidence, PSL Karting was committed to scoring strong results for the first round of the Rotax events. Jordon Lennox showed tremendous speed throughout the weekend as he battled for the lead throughout the heats. Lennox started the final in the off-pole position and would make the pass for the lead early on in the race before ultimately failing back to 2nd position. Cedrik Lupien and Gianfranco Mazzaferro made the switch to BirelART, and showed huge speed and progress throughout the week with Top 5 & Top 10.
Oliver Askew dominated the weekend in his DD2 debut, starting strong with a pole position in qualifying and winning every heat on Saturday. During the warm up lap of the pre-final on Sunday, Askew received a 20 second penalty, forcing him to start in 18th position for the final. Askew drove through the field, but crossed the line in 2nd position, setting the fastest lap in the process.
Top Birel ART dealers, Andersen Racing, Ben Cooper Racing, Falcone GP and Montoya Racing had full awnings last weekend with their drivers earning top honours in every classification.
PSL Karting president Dominic Labrecque expressed enthusiasm for the results achieved this weekend, “For sure we were successful in all conditions. I am happy with the growth and progress of our dealer network, additionally, the strength of our commitments to our loyal partners.”
