Muscat racing driver Ahmad Al Harthy celebrated his, and Oman Racing’s, third consecutive Pro-Am podium finish of the Blancpain Endurance Cup season at Paul Ricard on Saturday, 24th June, with an excellent second place result in the intense six-hour race maintaining the class points lead.
Blancpain GT Sports Club Overall points leader Anthony Pons enjoyed a perfect weekend at Circuit Paul Ricard, which played host to round three of this year’s campaign (June 24-25). Blancpain Endurance Cup Pro-Am Championship leaders Ahmad Al Harthy and Jonny Adam head into the third round of the season at Paul Ricard in southern France this weekend determined to continue their fantastic momentum, as the category reaches its halfway point.
The Circuit Paul Ricard 1000 km is the sixth round of the 2017 Blancpain GT Series, and with its six hours of racing into the night it is an ideal opportunity to prepare for the upcoming Total 24 Hours of Spa. But with 61 cars on the grid, the Saturday evening race is much more than that.
The qualifying race for the Zolder round of the Blancpain GT Series, probably the closest race of the season thus far, was won by the #17 Team WRT Audi of Robin Frijns and Stuart Leonard.
