World Champion Ekström attacks again with Audi

Mattias Ekström will again be competing in a dual role in 2017. Following remarkable years in the DTM and two titles with Audi, the Swede is determined to claim the top spot now in the new, more than 500-HP Audi RS 5 DTM too. And as the reigning World Rallycross Champion he has only one aim in the up-and-coming racing series as well: to win the title again this year. The season will open at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya not far from the Spanish metropolis, on April 1 and 2. Starting this year, Ekström can also rely on support from Audi’s motorsport department. read on ...

ANSA MOTORSPORTS, NICO JAMIN AND LIGIER MAKE HISTORY AT SEBRING SEASON OPENER

Following a long winter of testing and preparation to enter the new IMSA Prototype Challenge Presented by Mazda series, Alain Nadal's ANSA Motorsports team came to Sebring International Raceway with great expectations, but did not really believe that they could do so well and achieve such a feat for a first-time-out with the Ligier JSP3 race car. ANSA Motorsports entered two LM P3 cars in the first IMSA Prototype Challenge Presented by Mazda series event, including the No. 4 Strategic Wealth Designers Ligier JSP3, for season racer, Matt Dicken, and a last-minute entry for a young, promising, open-wheel driver from Rouen, France: Nico Jamin.

No. 10 Konica Minolta Cadillac DPi-V.R Captures 36 Hours of Florida Honors

This time, there was no controversy – just an old-fashioned butt-whipping by the winning Prototype team. The No. 10 Wayne Taylor Racing/Konica Minolta Cadillac DPi V.R, with Ricky Taylor behind the wheel, won the 2017 Rolex 24 at Daytona, with the No. 5 Action Express Mustang Sampling Cadillac DPi V.R finishing second. But it wasn’t pretty – with just seven minutes left, Taylor nudged the No. 5 out of the way in turn 1, causing the No. 5 to spin.

Corvette Racing Wins Third Straight Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring

There’s something about the two-car Corvette Racing C7.R team – when one car has a big problem, the other car seems to step up and win the race. It happened last year at the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring Fueled by Fresh From Florida: The No. 3 Corvette crashed, ending up 41st overall in the 48-car field. But the No. 4 team car took the GT Le Mans (GTLM) class win.

Alex Job Racing’s Landy finishes fourth in second IMSA Porsche GT3 Cup race at Sebring

This afternoon, Landy started seventh in the second Porsche GT3 Cup race. He got off to a good start and continued to put down consistent laps that put him in the top five about half way into the 45-minute race. From there, he put constant pressure on the cars in front of him as he was knocking on the door of his first GT3 Platinum cup podium finish of the season. Unfortunately, he simply ran out of time.
