At the Le Mans test day held two weeks before the 24-hour race, Audi completed its preparation phase with a wealth of valuable findings. The brand’s first diesel hybrid sports car set the fastest time of the day. Allan McNish in the number “2” Audi R18 e-tron quattro was the quickest driver on the tradition-steeped track at La Sarthe.

Transitioning from the two longest races of the season, the 100-minute sprint race is one of the shortest races on the WeatherTech Championship calendar and will be broadcast live on FOX, with coverage beginning at 4 p.m. ET / 1 p.m. PT and continuing through the checkered flag and post-race interviews.

The No. 10 Wayne Taylor Racing/Konica Minolta Cadillac DPi V.R, with Ricky Taylor behind the wheel, won the 2017 Rolex 24 at Daytona, with the No. 5 Action Express Mustang Sampling Cadillac DPi V.R finishing second. But it wasn’t pretty – with just seven minutes left, Taylor nudged the No. 5 out of the way in turn 1, causing the No. 5 to spin.

When the Prototype cars arrived in Sebring, it appeared Cadillac would dominate again after posting the fastest lap in three of the four pre-qualifying practice sessions.
However, Cadillac didn’t capture the pole for tomorrow’s 65th Annual Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring Fueled by Fresh From Florida. The qualifying session on Friday afternoon saw record-breaking speeds in three of the four WeatherTech Championship classes, including Prototype, with the fastest lap of 1 minute, 48.178 seconds, set by Neel Jani, driving the No. 13 Rebellion Racing Gibson-powered ORECA P2.
