FLYING LIZARD MOTORSPORTS CELEBRATES PODIUM SUCCESS AT HOME TRACK

Flying Lizard Motorsports enjoyed success at their home track of Sonoma Raceway last weekend as the GT America Powered by AWS and the Pirelli GT4 America championships took over the hills of Sonoma, California. The four-race and four-car effort brought the team three podium finishes, giving the team strong momentum heading into the next rounds at NOLA Motorsport Park, April 28-30.

WRIGHT MOTORSPORTS REVELS IN VICTORY AT SONOMA RACEWAY

The SRO America 2023 season began for Wright Motorsports last weekend at Sonoma Raceway. The Porsche customer team celebrated multiple visits to the podium including a win in the headlining series, the Fanatec GT World Challenge America Powered by AWS. Team veterans Charlie Luck and Jan Heylen concluded the weekend with two top-five finishes in their new No. 45 Porsche 911 GT3 R, while newcomers Adam Adelson and Elliott Skeer won the opening round, followed up by a third-place finish in the No. 120 Porsche 911 GT3 R.

PREMIERE FOR HAUPT RACING TEAM IN THE ADAC GT MASTERS

The ADAC GT Masters field is growing: Haupt Racing Team is the latest newcomer to the series and will field a Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo. In Estonian Ralf Aron (24) and Switzerland’s Alain Valente (26), two talented youngsters line up for the team of Hubert Haupt, who adds the ADAC GT Masters to his DTM programme. The new ADAC GT Masters season gets underway on 10th June as part of the “Festival of Dreams” at the Hockenheimring Baden-Württemberg.

CRONIN AND WHITE ROUND OUT TEAMS PARKER RACING’S PORSCHE SPRINT CHALLENGE GB LINEUP

BARTONE GETS INSPIRED GT AMERICA WIN AT SONOMA

Anthony Bartone (Miami, Fla.) drove the Bartone Bros Racing with RealTime Mercedes-AMG GT3 car to second place in yesterday’s GT America Powered by AWS race at Sonoma Raceway. The SRO Officials later awarded Bartone the win due to the Porsche, that crossed the line first, being disqualified for a post-race technical infraction.

THE HEART OF RACING SCORES TOP TEN FINISHES AT SONOMA

Traveling to the northern hills of California, The Heart of Racing (HOR) completed the first rounds of Pirelli GT4 America competition for the 2023 championship. The No. 25 Aston Martin returned to competition after starting the GT America powered by AWS season in St. Petersburg in March.

SECOND WIN IN TWO NURBURGRING ENDURANCE SERIES RACES FOR BMW

The BMW M4 GT3 was again the benchmark in the second race of the Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS) season. After ROWE Racing won the opening event two weeks ago, first place this time around went to Walkenhorst Motorsport. BMW M works driver Jesse Krohn (FIN) and his team-mate Jakub Giermaziak (POL) in the #34  car overcame difficult conditions to claim victory as the track dried out.

PORSCHE PENSKE MOTORSPORT ANNOUNCES DRIVER CREW FOR THIRD WORKS 963 AT LE MANS

The Porsche Penske Motorsport works team has finalised its driver line-up for its third Porsche 963 at this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans. UK driver Nick Tandy and Frenchman Mathieu Jaminet join forces with Felipe Nasr from Brazil in the cockpit of the No. 75 hybrid prototype. Works driver teammate Matt Campbell from Australia supports the team at the highlight of the year as the reserve driver.

From 27 to 29 April, the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland heads into the new season at Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium, with a capacity grid and a talented driver line-up. “This year’s grid includes 32 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars fielded by ten teams.
