Following an injury lay-off of nearly 10 weeks, Jack Aitken completed his return to racing in fine style last weekend, finishing a creditable sixth place in the GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS season-finale in Barcelona.

Porsche will be represented by a trio of GT3 cars in the penultimate round of the inaugural GT Super Sprint Challenge (GTSSC) season as the series travels to the Zhuhai International Circuit this weekend.

Ferrari will be looking to conclude its perfect championship season with a three-car entry as the GT World Challenge America concludes its 2021 campaign with Sunday’s running of the Indianapolis 8 Hour presented by AWS.

Many race seasons have passed since sports car racing team Flying Lizard Motorsports has raced on the hallowed grounds of Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS). This weekend, the 10-time sports car racing champions will return for the first time since 2014, racing the No. 460 Porsche 911 GT3 R with Andy Wilzoch, and the No. 101 TKO Motorsports Bentley Continental GT3 with Memo Gidley. IMS will host the season finale weekend, where competitors of the 2021 GT America powered by aws championship will compete in two final 40-minute races October 15-16.

Former champions, race winners and works drivers: A strong contingent of local drivers have set their sights high for their home event in the German GT Championship. The highlight in Hockenheim (22nd to 24th October) will decide who heads to the finale with title aspirations still intact, and the local favourites will be hungry to challenge at the front of the field at the penultimate race weekend of the season. Among those looking forward to their home races are former F1 driver Markus Winkelhock (41/Zdiměřice), double champion Sebastian Asch (35/Ammerbuch) and Audi Sport driver Dennis Marschall (25/Eggenstein), as well as the Corvette team of Callaway Competition and Audi team Rutronik Racing. Fans are welcome in the grandstands and the open, fan-friendly paddock in Hockenheim.

The 2021 season for the Fanatec GT World Challenge America presented by aws and GT America presented by aws concludes this weekend at Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS), and Wright Motorsports has a pair of Porsche 911 GT3 R race cars competing for multiple championship titles in the season finale event.

October is leaving Team GRT Grasser Racing with no time to relax as summer turns to autumn. After competing in the ADAC GT Masters at the Sachsenring, the Austrian outfit was back in action globally again over the weekend with the Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO. GRT Grasser Racing’s crews faced season finales on two continents with the GT World Challenge Europe and the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.

Team Parker Racing kept up its winning ways in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB as Harry King and Kiern Jewiss both claimed overall victories, with the latter sealing the Rookie Championship as he scored his fourth win of the year.

Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS Endurance Cup racer Finlay Hutchison delivered a strong ninth place finish in the season finale on Sunday, 10th October, with team-mates Markus Winkelhock and Dennis Lind – on the category debut of the new Audi R8 LMS GT3 EVO II.

Ross Wylie continued his fine form on his return to the Porsche Carrera Cup GB by scoring two top-seven placings at Donington Park yesterday (10 Oct). Ross posted sixth and seventh places in the day’s two 25 mins races.

Team Redline Racing picked up a brilliant pair of overall podium finishes and a couple of Pro Am class wins from a successful visit to Donington Park for the penultimate meeting of the 2021 Porsche Carrera Cup GB campaign (09/10 October).

In the overall total since the start of the program in 2009, the number of all titles won by the Audi R8 LMS GT3 exceeded the 200 mark with a total of 86 drivers titles and 117 additional successes in other categories at the weekend.

Reigning Porsche Carrera Cup GB champion Harry King produced one of the most dominant drives of the year to secure his third win of the 2021 campaign at Donington Park.

Porsche Carrera Cup North America Presented by the Cayman Islands championship leader Seb Priaulx (United Kingdom) added to his points gap in a dramatic Round 13 of the premier one-make series at VIRginia International Raceway (VIR). The driver of the No. 15 Kelly-Moss Road and Race Porsche 911 GT3 Cup race car entered the 45-minute race on Sunday, October 10, with a 34 point lead over teammate Kay van Berlo (Netherlands) who had driven the No. 3 Kelly-Moss Road and Race Porsche to victory in Saturday’s Round 12. However, a first lap incident ended the Dutchman’s day against the Turn Two barrier of the 3.27-mile, 17-turn track in Alton, Virginia. His 13th-place finish coupled with Priaulx’s victory nearly doubled the Brit’s led to 61 markers leaving the penultimate weekend of the inaugural season of the all-Porsche 911 GT3 Cup race car series.

Oman’s Ahmad Al Harthy celebrated a sensational Pro-Am podium finish during the final race of the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS Endurance Cup season in Spain on Sunday, 10th October, with an outstanding drive to third place during a challenging three-hour encounter.
