Ahmad Al Harthy produced a truly faultless performance during round two of the European Le Mans Series at Imola in Italy on Sunday, 15th May, to help secure a dominant GTE class win for his Oman Racing team – in doing so becoming the first Omani to take victory in the prestigious championship.

The 2022 DTM season got off to an almost perfect start for GRT in Portimão. After a pole position and two podiums by Lamborghini factory driver Mirko Bortolotti, the squad led by team principal Gottfried Grasser surges on with the first races in Germany this coming weekend. For the third and fourth race of this year’s DTM championship, the crews of the four Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO will travel from Grasser Racing’s headquarters in Styria to the Lausitzring. On this familiar track, Mirko Bortolotti, Clemens Schmid, Rolf Ineichen and Alessio Deledda will be looking to build on their form from the first round of the season.

Raffaele Marciello and Timur Boguslavskiy are back on top of the Sprint Cup standings after the Akkodis ASP Mercedes-AMG duo scored a resounding victory in today’s race at Magny-Cours. 

United Autosports scored an emphatic LMP3 victory with their #3 Ligier (Kay Van Berlo/Andrew Bentley) and second place overall with its #22 Oreca (Phil Hanson/Tom Gamble/Duncan Tappy) in the second round of the European Le Mans Series at the Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari track in Italy today (15 May).

Team WRT bagged its first Sprint Cup win of the 2022 season in this evening’s race at Magny-Cours thanks to a lightning-fast stop that allowed the #32 Audi to snatch the lead during the pit window.

For its season opener, the Intercontinental GT Challenge (IGTC) is returning to the Mount Panorama Circuit in Bathurst this weekend. The field for the popular Bathurst 12 Hour includes, among others, six Mercedes-AMG customer sport teams, each of them taking on the huge challenges of the traditional circuit in the southeast of Australia with one Mercedes-AMG GT3. Next to Mercedes-AMG Team Craft Bamboo Racing that will be participating with extended support from Affalterbach, the teams are Nineteen Corporation Pty Ltd, RAM Motorsport, SunEnergy1 Racing, Triple Eight Race Engineering and Valmont Racing. Like in previous years, Mercedes-AMG is again providing the safety car for this legendary race.

After finishing second on three occasions at its home track, MSR is looking for its first victory at Mid-Ohio, where team co-owner Mike Shank started the team nearly two decades ago.
